Malacath vs. Mehrunes Dagon; Orcs vs. Dremora
I cannot have been the only one to notice, but does it not seem like orcs and dremora share several features? For example: they are both aligned to daedric lords; they are both very strong races in comparison to the rest; they both seem to favor heavy armor; both are very headstrong and proud of their skills in battle; they shout at their enemies in ways that they are sure to win ex. "I smell weakness!" and "No one bests an orc!" Personally i believe that Malacath would beat Mehrunes out of his own part of oblivion. Plus an army of orcs vs an army of dremora seems like it would be one hell of a fight, but who would win?

Daedra =/= Mortals.
It ends there, really. If you study Dremora a bit more, they actually have very little in common.

Take immortality out of it. In a battle between 500 Orcs and 500 Dremora, who would win?

Give all the Dremora Daedric armor and weapons, then give all the Orcs Dragonplate armor and Dragonbone weapons.

Dagon got his butt whooped by Alduin
Malacath got his butt whooped by Boethia
I think Dagon > Boethia in terms of strength
So in order from strongest to weakest it owuld be
Alduin > Dagon > Boethia > Malacath

sorry, but based on combat with both ... I don't cringe and crap myself when I see a dremora coming at me with a heavy weapon like a battleaxe or warhammer like I do if I see an orc with the same. don't get me wrong, they both hurt, but just not the same kind of an "oh @$^*&%#!" moment as when you see an orc bearing down on you in heavy armor swinging a heavy weapon. their insane willpower and endurance is like going up against the proverbial "immoveable object". Umbra would be a perfect example.

Dremora are demons thta can be made by Daerdra however strong they want. Orcs are corrupt elves who are just a Warrior race.

JUST a warrior race?!? ... you say that so nonchalantly ... they are the epitome of a warrior race ... one of the three unholy trinity of nord, orc and redguard ... I don't see any nords or redguards toting Umbra around claiming to have survived countless battles as "last man standing" ... plus their armor has that whole samurai motif ... nords have ... fur ... and where is the redguard armor, hm?DikaSmausha wrote:just a Warrior race.

But anyways, yeah, just a warrior race. They wont ever beat Dremora. Dremora, who are evil, Daedric Armor wearing masters at Destruction.

I don't see Imperials as a "pure" warrior race like the other three, but more like a "hybrid" race between combat and stealth, much like the Dunmer are kinduva "trifecta". Argonians could be classed in the "hybrid" category as well, but differ based on gender. they both possess some combat skill "with males being more adept at thievery and females being more adept casters" (as quoted from the wiki article on Morrowind Argonians).DikaSmausha wrote:You left out Imperials as Warrior races.

as far as "Daedric Armor wearing", funny thing is, the only actual Daedric Armor I've ever lifted off a corpse is a random Daedric Shield from the occasional Golden Saint. Archmagister Gothren's two Dremora bodyguards both wield Bound Shields, so is any of their "armor" truly "Daedric" in origin or simply "Bound"? Supposedly, "bound" armor and weapons ARE the spirits of Daedra "bound" into the form of Daedric armor and weapons, so is this "bound" armor merely a physical aspect and reflection of their nature? I was going to say that according to the actual description of Daedric armor, it has absolutely no legitimate or real connection to actual Daedra. "Daedric — Expensive and highly refined form of ebony, used for many weapons and heavy armor.", but it turns out there's more to the story. According to the wiki article "Daedric weapons are made from raw ebony which has been refined using the craft and magical substances of the lesser minions of Oblivion. The process is not a pleasant one for the Daedra involved, and the weapons retain echoes of preternaturally prolonged suffering endured during manufacture. Daedric weapons are the most rare and expensive weapons known in Tamriel." - Garothmuk gro-Muzgub" so again it would seem their "armor" isn't real, but merely a physical manifestation of their nature. in other words, that's not armor, daedric or otherwise. they don't wear armor either. that's just how they look.
but ... but ... damnit ... grumbles ...philfredobob wrote:Redguards dont need armour !! they are true warriors !!Ragnarok wrote:and where is the redguard armor, hm?

no, honestly, dremora don't have "Adrenaline Rush", "Berserk", etc. All Dremora possess racially is an Alteration "Shield" spell, which, according to the unarmored bug, may or may not do squat. as previously stated, Gothren's guard possess Bound Shield which would fix this, but only Dremora Lords possess Destructive magic, Fire Storm specifically, along with stronger shield spells, that again, may or may not do anything without the accompaniment of a Bound Shield spell or other actual armor. the top Morrowind Dremora, Lord Dregas Volar gets a Bound Dagger, which I'm not convinced makes much sense considering he wields a Daedric Crescent.

Re: Malacath vs. Mehrunes Dagon; Orcs vs. Dremora
wait , are we comparing gameplay aspects of orcs and dremora , or lore ?
cause if its gameplay , then the orcs stand a fair chance
while if its lore , then i think the dremora would win , due to being more intelligent than most orcs , and being able to outsmart them (remember , Most !! not all

Imperials used to be a Warrior Race but Bethesda changed them into Battlemages.

where is "Deadliest Warrior" when you need them?
as for imps being battlemages ... battlemages? what do imperials have to do with magic? their racial skills are combat and stealth based. hell, bosmer have more magic skills than imps (alchemy).

Combat and stealth based? They have Heavy Armor, One Handed, Restoration, Block, Destruction, and Enchanting. That is a battlemage. But oddly, I always make mine as a stealth race.

Re: Malacath vs. Mehrunes Dagon; Orcs vs. Dremora
Like I said, Bethesda has changed them into Battlemages. That is what they really are, Morrowind was the first game you could be an Imperial. Even then, they werent really that stealth based. They are more combat based and and about equaly stealth and magic.

Malacath actually has his own Daedra, such as Ogrim. Wouldn't it be a more accurate contest to pit those against Dremora?
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

Demonic Dremora vs Orcs (Mortals). I'd have to go with the Dremora.

In a fight to the death my money is on the race of immortals. All they have to do is sit there and wait.
