Re: Dawnguard.
The best way to beat them is with a good conjuration spell or a spell with AOE's. Melee characters should fair better than archers because they move around so much and often attack in pairs

it's not that bad once you deal with the overabundance of undead, lack of interesting sidequests, and pain in the a** keepersFawkMyLife wrote:I hate the SC.

Soul Cairn reminded me of Morrowind. Now if only Jiub was right there when you walk in and talking about sleeping through a storm....
But seriously, the side quests had no markers and vague directions (if any at all). Thought I might as well try to find weepingbell cave.

9/10
And I haven't even finished all the content yet, although I did finish the new main quest on the vamp side.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

Also a 9/10 and that was just with doing the Vampire side. Creating a character just for the DG side of things

Re: Dawnguard.
Seeing as it is JUST an add on, not even a full expansion, i give it a 9.5 out of 10.
Even if it were a full expansion like the shivering isles but only had as much content as it does now id give it a 8.5 because it still adds so much to the game.
And i have also only done the vampire side

Hey guys, this is something I can't figure out. How do you do the power bite attack as a Vampire Lord? I tried holding down the attack button, but that just does a standard power claw attack.

Has anyone found any Dawnguard weapons other than hammers and war axes? I've looked everywhere and found nothing. Also, Dead Drop Falls seems to serve no purpose.

I read somewhere that in Vampire Lord form you can also use your normal spells as well. Can someone confirm or deny this?

So Vamp Lords are waaay more powerful than werewolfs then simply because you can use mage armor spells where as werewolves still have no DR.
Then of course there's all the other crazy powers the vamps have.

Wait, what? Random vampires attack towns? Is that event triggered when the player enters a city, or can it happen anywhere, anytime?

Re: Dawnguard.
Werewovles are glass tanks, a fully upgraded werewolf can do some major damage, and while they can take some hits, they aren't supposed to be normal tanks. I would say Vamp Lords and Werewolves are actually pretty balanced against each other, its just knowing how to use them.RedDeadFred wrote:So Vamp Lords are waaay more powerful than werewolfs then simply because you can use mage armor spells where as werewolves still have no DR.

Also Babbette now walks around outside at times, you can talk to her and she says shes going to feed.
Its whenever you walk into the city, for the 5 big cities, or when you are in the current cell for the smaller cities.Argonanza wrote:Wait, what? Random vampires attack towns? Is that event triggered when the player enters a city, or can it happen anywhere, anytime?
