Cant mod oblivion

Right, I just started trying to mod my new 5th anniversary Oblivion, yet every time I attempt to extract the mod files to the data folder of Oblivion, I just get a ton of error messages saying they can't create the files that are being extracted into the data folder for some odd reason.

Are you running on Vista/7? If so do you have Oblivion installed in the Program Files directory? If so you need to get it out of there and reinstall to a different directory. UAC doesn't like modding Oblivion.

So I simply have to reinstall it into it's own directory?

Disable UAC first to see if that helps.

I assume he means user access control.

For me, the most annoying part about modding Oblivion on Win 7 is having to use a 3rd party screenshot tool of my mods and having Oblivion crash on exit 100% of the time
