Best memory from gaming?
I have two that I can recall. One, I was playing Mercenaries (the first one, on xbox), and I randomly threw a grenade. It detonated, knocked over a street light, the street light fell over and hit a north korean soldier on the head, killing him. Lols ensued.
The other...I was playing GTA 4 with my friend, and we were messing around. He was on top of a building with a sniper rifle, and I had a helicopter. I flew at him while he was shooting at me, and got him with the chopper's rotor blades. He couldn't stop laughing. One moment, he was just looking through the scope, and the next, he saw me through the scope, in the cockpit of the chopper (and my model was a zombie in a speedo), and he saw the rotor blades and got killed.
May not sound like much, but it was funny. What about you?

Re: Best memory from gaming?
One of my personal favourites was when Oblivion was still new to me and I was riding towards the Jerall Mountains from Chorrol and suddenly I stopped to behold the watch down over the heartlands from a suspension bridge and while I was intrigued by the awesome sight I suddenly noticed the perfect score of the game, the melancholic piano piece of Auriel's Acension. That meant so much to me as I at this point of my life felt very lonely and I could compare the vision to my own life and I was glad that I had found the joy in Oblivion that I had.

The first time I figured out you could make a Cat Silencer in Postal 2 was pretty memorable. I was so stoked when I shoved my shotgun barrel up kitty's butt; I dropped everything I was planning on doing and must have violated about twenty cats before I had my fix.

Re: Best memory from gaming?
playing co-op halo:ce and halo 2 with my cousin back in the day, usually legendary. In more detail, I have a big family and there was always a family function going on at my cousins house, it was like my second home. and everytime I was there we would retreat to his room and play games together for hours on end, only leaving for bathroom breaks or food. once halo came out and subsequently halo 2, that was almost exclusively what we played. Those are not just some of my fondest gaming memories but memories in general.

First Gouranga in GTA always sticks in my mind, I stopped bothering to play the game and just cruised around looking for Krishna's to run over. Another GTA moment from San Andreas this time, first time I did Learn to Fly mission and Skynrd's Freebird was playing on Dust.

I lost my first tooth while playing Mario Bros.
I was so into the game that I put the tooth next to me and kept playing for half an hour before I went and told anyone.
And also a great gaming memory is in Red Dead Redemption when (actual massive spoilers ahead) I throw a fist in the air, yell, and high-five anyone in the general area every time.

My favorite is probably the story in Mass Effect 1 when you go and kill Matriarch Benezia, especially if you bring liara. The entire story behind Benezia is so simple but I love it.

Re: Best memory from gaming?
The first time i played Mass Effect at the end and no one is sure if Shepherd is alive and then the music kicks in and out he/she strides battered but victorious. Actually the whole ME series, bar the kooky ending of ME3

Stepping out of the sewers in Oblivion, the vault in Fallout 3. I remember one time me and my friend were playing GTA:SA co-op, and he was the Cluckin Bell guy and I had the flying car cheat on and we were flying to Las Venturas and he accidentl jumped out so I jumped out with him with a parachute and I foolwed him until we were near the ground and open the parachute and he fell into the the giant Cluckin Bell chicken head and he landed in his mouth! So funny

BFBC2 with a few friends, handing out beatings to all in the form of SV98 rounds and C4. It remains, and probably always will be, my favorite multiplayer game.

When my young cousin was talking himself up on MW2/3, telling me that he could kick my ass, cos he got a MOAB (Or whatever they are in MW3, which he got in that zombie playlist anyways...)
Then me proceeding to beat him silly using only a knife. I laugh in the face of his long-range weaponry.

Ooh, there are so many...
Of course, stepping out of the sewers in Oblivion will always be the moment I truly fell in love with gaming. There's just no two ways about it. It was just the most beautiful landscape staring at me, and playing Oblivion feels like going home.
Seeing Sadrith Mora for the first time was also pretty amazing - I just loved the Gateway Inn.
And finally, the whole of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, but especially nearly wetting myself while exploring the Ocean House Hotel and Grout's Manor.

Shalebridge Cradle.
That, or it's a toss-up between dancing with the Dryads in King's Quest V; or every Stalingrad mission prior to "Pavlov's House" in Call of Duty 1. A decision between your most vivid dream— or nightmare.

I bloody well loved that game, and the first time I went through the Ocean hotel I was actually completely on edge. You just expect something to pop out behind you at any minute... I spent half the time just spinning around and jumping out my seat.Leilah wrote:And finally, the whole of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, but especially nearly wetting myself while exploring the Ocean House Hotel and Grout's Manor.

My first time through Ocean House— I was a cold, calculating Tremere wielding a severed human forearm as a weapon. And I was still scared.Dean wrote:I bloody well loved that game, and the first time I went through the Ocean hotel I was actually completely on edge. Just not that scared. I'd already been through the Cradle.

Re: Best memory from gaming?
When i first finished Final Fantasy X , the ending made me cry , very sad
the music just added to the moment
this game basicly raised me , to tell you the truth , the main character was my idol ( nerdy , i know
)
from then on out , i have loved games
