Ultimate Skyrim Challenge

Post by Jmoolx_666 »

I came up with this challenge which not even I've managed to finish and i will be really surprised if someone manages to do it.
Here are the seven rules.

Rule 1: Master: Your difficulty must be at master at all time.

Rule 2: Eating and sleeping: You must eat and sleep everyday. You can only survive 3 in game days without food and five without sleep.

Rule 3: No fast travelling: There is no fast travelling. It makes it much more fun and you find a lot more things.

Rule 4: Quests: You must finish all the quest lines.

Rule 5: Death: I read a interesting thread called 'dead is dead' which means if you die you must start a new game. So if you die when attempting this challenge you cannot reload. This may be to hard so you have 5 chances.

Rule 6: Equipment: You are only allowed 6 pieces of apparel and 2 weapons. NO MORE! You are also allowed any quest items, 5 gemstones, 10 soul gems, any keys, 15 potions.

Rule 7: No duplicating: Simple as that.

Rule 8: No glitches. No using things like the ogmha inignum(sorry for spelling) or the over powered armor glitches.

Rule 9: Smithing. Everything must be smithed.

These are the nine rules that I think make the ultimate challenge. If you want to attempt the challenge I will be surprised and keep me posted on how it comes along. If you want you can come up with a backstory.
If you think there should be another rule please post and i will add it. If you manage to complete the challenge i will be very impressed.

I'd also like to know about any backstory you create and what character you use so please post.

Keep me posted.
Cheers.

As far as equipment, policy on standard amount of non-armor/weapon items to carry? Say, potions, or gemstones? What about accessories? How do bigger items or quest items factor in?
To see the world in a grain of sand
And heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.

Probably add that you can't use the fortify restoration glitch or the Oghma Infinium glitch. If you can use those then the only challenging part is early game.

I've decided to start a new game to do this challenge so I can post my progress along with you guys.
He's going to be a redguard in heavy armour, with a sword(no shield) and a bow. Once again keep me posted guys.

Only 5 days without sleep? Humans can stay up roughly 2 weeks before dieing from lack of sleep.

As for ultimate challenge..No, I have seen much harder.

For one, 10 deaths? I die less then that normally, 10 is far too many. I would just say deaths from glitches, falling, IRL emergency etc. don't count.

Rule 6: Equipment: All equipment must be smithed by hand so it fits you. Before you can smith a piece of equipment, you must find it so you know how it is made

Rule 7: No duplicating. Simple as that

Rule 8: No glitches. No using things like the ogmha inignum(sorry for spelling) or the over powered armor glitches.

Rule 9: You cannot sell equipment or items for money. The only thing you may sell for money is jewelry - otherwise all money has to be acquired from quests or in the form of coins.

Why not sell equipment? They could break the equipment down if you were worried about "Oh it won't fit anyone".

Right here is what has happened so far with my charecter. He's made it to riverwood without dying but almost got murdered upon coming across a random spawn of thalmor but got some good armour to start the game of with. So all is well.

Keep posting and very good points about the new rules and tweaks and i'll consider using them to make it harder.

Cheers

Because that's really where I get about 95% of my money and it can do for some serious inflation. That, and it makes smithing pretty useless since another of my self imposed rules was to not buy ores or ingots from merchants.

I don't have to follow those rules anymore, though, since I've got a bunch of mods (like cutthroat merchants) which basically nerf how much money you can get (so you will actually have to save up for items even when you're level 30) and mods that remove a lot of raw stock from various merchants forcing you to get it yourself.

I mean, when's the last time you were excited to find a malachite mine? Now imagine how excited you would be if that was pretty much the only way you could get the ore other than drops, and the ore was the only way you could get glass armor for a reasonable price.

It also means you are forced to level smithing because you are only allowed to get gear via smithing it..

I'm going to try this, as I usually play battlemage/spellsword types I'm going to impliment a rule that I can only use spells that were either given to me (eg from quests) or found in loot.

No purcashing spells from vendors.

At the College,......where you learn, about spells, from teachers, who teach spells? And smiths usually smith as well no, why wouldn't they have supplies? And inflation, from armor, in a never ending civil war, really? A little to unrealistic to be hardcore IMO.

This reminds me of the Nuzlocke Challenge. Which makes Pokèmon a whole new game. Look it up.
