I hope we might run across umbra in the oblivion realm of trapt souls:) i know that umbra was traped in the sword again in the end of the last book by keys and that it was ultimately destroyed, but then again you never know with TES;) it might be unlikely but one can allways hope

ok so, i plan on being a vampire lord. However a thought occurred to me. i know that vampire lords are a spell casty type of awesomeness, but do they run off of their own magicka/health/stamina stats, or do they run off of my characters original magicka/health/stamina stats? i currently have a level 52 wood elf archer/huntsman as my favorite and only character, but he has almost no points put in to magicka so would this affect how effective becoming a vampire would be? thanks for the help

I don't believe this has been posted yet, so for those who haven't seen it yet, here's some info about both the Vampire Lord and Werewolf Perk Trees, including a detailing of each Perk.

So I wouldn't be surprised to find out later the emperor was killed by a mysterious assassin, with Bethesda giving you the option of assuming it was your guy or not.
This would be great. I like your idea very much. Wouldn't that throw a twist into your character(s) that didn't join DB? Mmmhmmm...the plot thickens.

Okay, the article was posted yesterday and newer articles were citing it. I've been burried in mid-year exams the past week or so, so I haven't been keeping up with the latest news, per se. I did think the perk tress provided some info in response to Enigma's question, particularly with regards to Power of the Grave and Unearthly Will, but I'm still looking for the source where I heard that the Vampire Lord functions like the Werewolf with regards to stats.

I dont think it would throw a twist in anything really. The world of the Elder scrolls is supposed to be a living breathing world filled with many heroes.

In Oblivion Modryn Oreyn mentions that an adventurer brought him The Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw, was it the Nerevarine? could be... but if you didn't do that quest then it was some other adventurer.

Not even Skyrim's Sheogorath being The Champion of Cyrodill is 100% confirmable, although it is VERY likely.

I know there is a non disclosure but can any one confirm or deny if the beta is going well and should be ready by the 26th or are you finding a lot of (nonspecific) bugs that will cause a delay in the release date?

I'm happy that crossbows make a return and there's mounted combat.

Though I don't see why Bethseda wants to change the idea of Vampires completely..but I'm hoping they're not going to do an Oblivion-DLC rhetoric where they take what succeeds and nearly mirror that but make it 'acceptable' to be slightly independent.

the only two Oblivion DLCs that did were were SI and KotN, people pretty much hated the houses.

I think they learned from the hate towards houses, and horse armor, not to just make the same DLC 5 times.

Would Dawnguard be the equivalent to Knights of the Night? (as in the "smaller" DLC?)

Look at this: At level 46, your combined attributes should equal 760, no?

According to the screenshot of the Vampire Lord skills menu, your combined attributes at the same level are equal to 1285. Interesting...

They said it was larger then Fallout 3's DLC, but smaller then Shivering Isles.

Fallout 3's DLC was KotN size, so this would be larger.

KotN was like 3 hours? at most? This is supposed to be like 10

They were probably dev altered attributes to make themselves op.

I doubt Vampire lord is going to nearly double your attributes.

Yeah, I think Dawnguard will be bigger than KotN. We already know they're opening up the Soul Cairn, as well as a second area, and the questline should be about... I don't know, something like half to two-thirds as long as the MQ.
Start the groove.

They did say the vampire is going to get a perk tree and other stuff. Maybe they are like temp buffs like from feeding or something? I hope they fixed the mistake they made with dragon armor and make the dragon weapons better than daedric weapons. sure the armor doesn't matter past the cap but the weapon damage always matters. Who will get the dragon weapons if they are second rate?
I would be a procrastinator, but I keep putting it off.

They've already been stated to be stronger than Daedric.

Also, the bow in the trailer is a Dragonbone bow with a Dragonbone arrow I believe, but the other new weapons were Silver.

I would like that to be true, but they don't really resemble the style of the silver swords.

Why? Why make Silver weapons when you can make Dragon bone weapons? Even the undead bonus damage wouldn't go up to the Dragon bone damage, which is the same damage to ALL. Also, what about people who can't make Dragon bone weapons, will they be able to find it in a dusty chest or what?

I doubt you will be able to find dragonbone weapons, or at least with any ease.

Dragon armor only appears in chests at level 46, and even then it is 20 times less likely to appear then any other armor in the game.

I would think Dragon Weapons would have the same rarity.

Was that with or without the Power of the Grave perk active do you know?
