The Throat of the World(Possible spoiler)

So I've just met Paarthurnax, and he's on a loop. From the point when I asked him to teach me dragonrend, he goes through the conversation about why I want it and why dragons don't know it, finishes up by saying he'll finally answer my question, and then loops back to the point where I asked about dragonrend. Anyone have any ideas about fixing this?

Do you skip through all of his dialogue? On some occasions, dialogue will loop for me if I skip through it. Just sit back and listen to all of it and see if that makes a difference. If not, loading a previous save couldn't hurt to try.

This happened to me once, just don't skip dialogue like Baloth-Kul said, I know paarthunax talks like you had nothing else to do and you can sit there waiting him to end his phrase of 4 words that takes like a minute, but wait patientally
