I'm thinking more likely southern/southeastern Rift, due to the foliage.

Maybe it's based on Akaviri designs like Blades armor was. I'm under the impression there were a variety of Akaviri armors. We see the Dragonscale stuff in Morrowind and the metal Blades armor in Oblivion and Skyrim. Both very Samurai-esque. The new stuff is Samurai-esque as well. I'm betting there's a connection.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

Does that mean our vampire characters will look different outside of the vampire lord power? Because i like the way my vampire looks atm.Pilaf The Defiler wrote:EpicAbrad wrote:So, do you guys think Movarth Piquine will be involved in this at all? After all, he respawns in his lair even after Laid To Rest. Not sure what the point would be of creating a forever-resurrecting vampire, other than a future intention for him. Do you think there could be a quest to "recruit" him for Harkon, or kill him once and for all for the Dawnguard? Or will the DLC not involve any quests that take place outside of the newly-released areas?
The poster above with all the spoiler tag mentioned all the normal vampires in vanilla Skyrim are getting a new look and upgraded abilities, so I assume that he will be among them.

given that the vampire base is supposedly in the northwest part of the map, it makes sense the Dawnguard base would be on the exact opposite end of the map.House of the Wolf wrote:I'm thinking more likely southern/southeastern Rift, due to the foliage.

Wait... If the Vampires want to end the Suns harmful rays... If you side with the vampires, would you stop the sun, making it ok to be a full vampire? (Stage 4, no sun drawback) If so, holy [&@%!] [&@%!], and also on top of that, the Vampires can go out of thier caves... O.O

Im glad the new houses are upgradeable, like Battlehorn Castle in Oblivion. I wonder if you can become the Leader of the Dawnguard?

Being a Werewolf with Dawnbreaker and Spellbreaker makes you a very potent weapon for Dawnguard.
And nah...I somehow doubt you become a leader for either side.

Yeah, that would be good. But if it's anything like the Companions, no thanks. Once I became Harbinger, I shouldn't have been taking jobs from my inferiors. I should have been out getting the jobs then delegating them to other members and only taking the ones I was really interested in.DikaSmausha wrote:I would like to become a high ranking member, thoughBobTheRedguard wrote:Very likely but I hope not. Re: Dawnguard.
We dont know exactly but it's not too far of a stretch to say most likely. I could see that being 50/50 with players, some will like it, some probably wont. A terrible thought just occured though, I hope hes not just talking about npc's, because vanilla vampire players could use some loving. The interview I took that quote from was posted at the top of the other page, go to 6:50 to listen for yourself if you want.cheap pocketman wrote:Does that mean our vampire characters will look different outside of the vampire lord power? i hope that i get to keep my bloodred eyes! they fit my vamp character perfectly. it would however be cool if they added fangs to the bared teeth animation when in combat.

The companions don't have a leader. The Harbinger is just the person they go to for advice.

Re: Dawnguard.
I want there to be like a vampire council not just a leader and his daughter. Usually how this goes is the leader will die or betray you, happens so often so I hope that's different, say you become a high ranking vampire or the title of strongest vampire lord

Yes, that's technically true. But he's still looked at by outsiders, and even the other Companions, as a leader figure. So, instead of asking my advice, why is that dimwit Farkas giving me orders?

considering doing the questlines and become leader is a choice, yes you did ask for the responsibility.BobTheRedguard wrote:Very likely but I hope not. My character has too many responsibilities he never asked for anyway.
The rank of Harbinger is equal to an adviser, they state several times there is no leader to the companions, just the circle and an adviser. Your not above them, nor are they below you.BobTheRedguard wrote:Yeah, that would be good. But if it's anything like the Companions, no thanks. Should there really even be a circle anymore, I mean at least half aren't werewolves anymore. Do the rules change.SajuukKhar wrote:considering doing the questlines and become leader is a choice, yes you did ask for the responsibility.BobTheRedguard wrote:Very likely but I hope not. They state during the questline that the circle has only been werewolves for the past couple of groups.Br3admax wrote:Should there really even be a circle anymore, I mean at least half aren't werewolves anymore. Do the rules change.
When the circle was originally founded, when the companions began, the members of the circle were not werewolves.

I hate having dragon armor and not having matching dragon weapons.
