That's a bit unfair about ME3, the gameitself is excelletnit's just the ending thats screwed, but hopefully this give Bioware chance to correct some of the problems with DA2 and create a proper ending to DA3.The Raven wrote:DA3 being delayed is only a good thing. It makes sure it's...somewhat more thought through and doesn't end up another ME3.

No it doesn't. They're not taking their time with it in that sense. They're just not making it in order to make a game no one gives a [&@%!] about. The Raven wrote:DA3 being delayed is only a good thing. It makes sure it's...somewhat more thought through and doesn't end up another ME3.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I care about it...
Regardless, it's probably not the only reason. The re structured their entire system, not just the staff dealing with these 2 games.
My guess? something was up with DA3, in addition to Bioware needing more people on TOR.

I hope we don't get another disappointment like DA2 -_-
Re: Dragon Age: Origins
What with good old EA holding the purse strings, how could we.
Dear EA please stick to churning out endless sports games which you do quite well and leave RPG's to companies who know what their doing!

I did enjoy the first Dragon Age but the second game was very dissapointing i thought.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
DA2 had it's moments but it was poorly written in places and rushed. The lack of origins was a real kick in the pants, think EA wanted to capitalise on Mass Effects success and ignored the fact that Dragon Age could be a franchise in its own rights.Shadowscale wrote:I did enjy the first Dragon Age but the second game was very dissapointing i thought.

It's not only EA's fault, mostly but not only. Rember EA was also with Origins, and ME came out before that.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
Dragon Age 3 may have finished pre-production could also be an expansion for TOR. Bioware haven't actually confirmed which game they are dropping hints about yet.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
Bioware have confirmed that DA3 will have a voiced protaganist again, they haven't yet ruled out for definate that will go back to multiple playble races, although it doesn't seem likely and it may come back for DA games released after DA3.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I wanted a new Dragon Age, not a new Dragon Effect. -_-
Don't get me wrong, I ADORE Mass Effect, but I wish they would make an attempt to differentiate the games more than that.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I'm guessing that would take too much time and money which Bioware currently requires for ME3 multiplayer DLC & TOR.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I agree. It is like people who want Fallout to be more like TES and TES to be more like Fallout. They are 2 different series, I love them both but they should be different from each other. I don't want to play Mass Effect in a fantasy setting, I want to play Dragon Age.Unionhack wrote:I wanted a new Dragon Age, not a new Dragon Effect. -_-

Apparently Bioware is basing III off more open world games... AKA Skyrim.

Revive! yeah I thought it would be better to post here than to make a new thread.
So, commence, speak, talk about Dragon Age, what's new with DA3, to be honest I want it to come out 2014, I feel that would be good spacing for a well written story, but I don't know.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
What if I told you, Bioware is considering Cullen and Cassandra? It's true.
I am not sure, but I do know that their should be no Grey Wardens, I don't want to be overshadowed.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I want there to be Grey Wardens.
The series was founded upon the story of the Grey Wardens, and though I realize that there's a lot more out there than just the Wardens, I love that part of the series too much. I'd want a Warden in the party.
Cullen, I could live with. Cassandra, I'm not so sure.
If we could have Alistair and Varric in the party at the same time? It would be a brofest like none ever seen.
