In the grim dark future- there is only war. The Imperium of Man is on the brink of defeat after the constant attacks from the Tyranid hive fleets and the brutal onslaught of the 14th Black Crusade. Not even Holy Terra is considered safe when the armada of Chaos ships enter the Sol system. The Dark Eldar are immediately drawn in by the immense suffering and join the freigh. The other races- now unhindered by the Imperium soon find themselves on Terra's doorstep.
On the surface of Mars- the last stronghold before Terra- a bloody and brutal conflict is raging. However just as the Imperium is about to seize the upper hand, the forces of Chaos unwittingly release an ancient evil -The Void Dragon. A strange energy barrier of Necron design is erected over Mars and the remaining forces underneath it are completely eradicated. Or so the Void Dragon thought...
Some of the Leaders of the conflicting forces awaken and find themselves cut off from the outside universe. They must put aside their differences and work together, otherwise they and their races will die alone...

Blood Angels

Imperial Guard

The Imperium of Man is beset on all sides by traitors and aliens. Across countless warzones, the warriors of the Imperial Guard fight a desperate war to hold back humanity's enemies, resolute Generals spending lives and ammunition at an equal rate.

Orks

Orks infest the galaxy from end to end, living for the moment when they can charge into battle, where their natural toughness and ferocity allows them to excel. Screaming war cries and firing crude guns, their only goal is to drown the stars in a torrent of violence

Sisters of Battle

The Sisters of Battle are utterly loyal to the Emperor; their fanatical devotion and unwavering purity are bulwarks against corruption, heresy and alien attack. Once battle is joined they will stop at nothing until their enemies are entirely crushed.

Space Marines

The Space Marines of the Adeptus Astartes are fearless champions of humanity. Genetic modification and psycho-conditioning has made them superior to Men in all respects. These Superhuman, weapons of war are mankinds most elite fighting force.

Space Wolves

The Space Wolves are the most savage and barbaric of all the Space Marine Chapters, whose red-hot battle-lust is channelled through boltgun and frost axe. They are warriors of myth, whose noble deeds give rise to legends.

Tau Empire

The Tau fight to reforge the very stars themselves in the name of the Greater Good. At the forefront of their rapid expansion are the Fire caste, carrying weapons of immense power and encased in battlesuits that can withstand the fiercest attacks.

Tyranids

The Tyranids are super-predators destined to hunt all others to extinction. Each Tyranid is a living weapon, perfectly bioengineered to rend and kill. As their hive fleets drift through space, they strip all life from the worlds in their path.

Amy (Craftworld, Space marine Chapter etc) and feel free to create your own: Comes from a little known craftworld, which has a reputation of being called The Shadow World. For most of it's army is small yet strong, they normally get by wars with assassinations.
Sex (If applicable): Male
Appearence: Raven black hair complete with eyes, He is a slight and lean man.
Personality: rather friendly, despite his paranoia, most people around him leave with more questions than answers.
Background: growing up on Ash dras shemash had gave him mental scars as it is a small ruthless place, He aspired to be the most powerful Farseer of that world.. And is till wishing to reach it.
Wargear: He uses a singing Spear with a shuriken pistol, he has otherwise the average kit for a Farseer.(too lazy to look it up..) He also has a smaller form of a Warp Generator, allowing him to teleport slightly shorter distances than the average.

Appearance: After countless years of fighting in one of the toughest Chapters the Imperium has to offer, Malarek has accrued many scars. His brown hair is cropped and he is nearly bald.
Personality: He is righteous and zealous, like most in his Chapter. He is sworn to protect the Emperor and fight against the forces of Chaos.
Background: He can't remember his childhood as, like all Grey Knights, he was inducted into the Chapter at a young age. He has served in many battles. The latest battle saw him lose a finger to a Chaos' las gun and get promoted.
Wargear: Terminator Armour, Las Gun, Nemesis Force Sword

Shadow Eldar are bunch of big girls blouses, you should have gone Squat (apart from the fact the GW wiped them out becuase they were to beardy, they combined the strenghs of the Imperial Guard and Space Marines although they were a bit slow resolute.

Like I said Stormborn, everyone on the universe (sans necrons and civilians) are playable, so yes you can be an inquisitor.
Oh and I want to make this non Warhammer 40K fan friendly as well, so in the morning I'll be posting summaries of each race.

Name: Tobias Aszien
Faction: Space Marines
Army: Imperial Fists; 1st Scout Company
Sex: Male
Appearence: Being a space marine he is well built due to the extreme training and surgeries he had to undertake at the time of recruitment, but he is not as large as the average space marine as he is a scout by trade, preferring to be lean than over encumbered by muscle. His face is gaunt and jagged, with several war scars marking his face from campaigns he has previously fought in. He has a near constant five o'clock shadow goatee, and his hair is brown and medium length, regularly brushed back by his hand.
Personality: Unlike most Space Marines who have served as long as him he still holds a sense of humour and the scouts under his command usually tend to be the butt of his jokes. He is also experienced by the many campaigns, tours and battles he has taken part in, he himself claims that 'there isn't a xeno I haven't shot'. Despite being a Space Marine he isn't as hostile to the xenos as much as he should be and actually has a profound interest in Tau and Kroot culture.
Background: Before joining the Imperial Fists, Tobias was a street urchin living on the Hive world Scintilla in the city, Sibellus. One day the recruitment officers of the Imperial Fists descended onto the planet, and they admired Tobias' ability and technique when it came to traversing and doing jobs in the hive. After grueling and rigorous training and surgeries, Tobias joined the lowest ranked; the scout company. After five years of proving himself fighting against an Ork Waaagh!, Tobias was offered promotion, but instead of taken the route of normality and joining the tactical marine chapters, Tobias rather rank up in the scout company, and two decades and near countless amounts of battles later, Tobias became the captain of the scout company.

War gear: Boltgun and Sniper Rifle. Scout Armour with several Purity Seals brandished onto it, the left shoulder pad is painted with a icon of the Iron Halo. Camo cloak. Frag Grenades.
