What I meant to say was that there's a 99.9% chance of that happening, but by all probability, it won't, and if I said it may happen, than I'd be the guy who you could quote who said "America is turning into North Korea".

A 99.9% chance of it happening would be a high probability, Frosty.

So you're giving it nine-hundred and ninety to one-thousands odds of it not happening, and you assume it won't?

Wait what? It has a 99.9% chance of not happening but propability points towards it happening? That is not how maths work.Frost Mage wrote:What I meant to say was that there's a 99.9% chance of that happening, but by all probability, it won't, and if I said it may happen, than I'd be the guy who you could quote who said "America is turning into North Korea".
And no. Cam told you that the USA is far from what North Korea is now. Anything can happen in the future. Future =/= present.

Well, he never stood by his original post. He didn't say he was agreeing with the idea (entirely), just presenting it to us to discuss. And even if this topic dies, there is still Time Cube to fall back on.Musicman247 wrote:I don't see this thread going anywhere, and Frosty has already contradicted his OP several times. Re: ilumanati controls the govement
Look, the whole thing is too cut and dry to clearly represent on a forum, it really needs to be a back-and-forth conversation, addressing topics and debating, where on a forum, you only have one try to get your point across, and another to reply to the misinterpretations. My point is: I am more inclined to believe in this stuff, but the way you have me backed into a hole, I don't feel like I can give my honest opinion without being scrutinized for it. That opinion is not that I believe all of it, but some of it does sound extremely out there.Mars wrote:Frosty still hasn't replied to my post concerning citizen monitoring!

Re: ilumanati controls the govement
You don't believe in your entire opinion? How does that work? Seems to me your opinion isn't your opinion, but rather a collection of facts/claims/opinions of other people, some of which you agree with.
And if you're afraid of being scrutinized about your opinion on something then you shouldn't start debates about those subjects at all.

Wow those links are utter bollocks. There's nothing factual about them whatsoever, instead it's just drivel that could be written by anyone with no real academic background at all.
The second one in particular could've been written by anyone. I have no idea what the first one is implying and the third one is just Fox News?
Frost, do something more useful with your life than chasing myths based on bogus ideas and theories.

Re: ilumanati controls the govement
I have a feeling this is going to be a text wall. I'm gonna give Frosty advice, then dive into the whole Illuminati thing.
Frosty, one concept that you should understand is to know the crowd. I'm not saying win the crowd, but know the crowd. A comedian can't go in front of church goers and use his dirty material, or else he will not get laughs. He will get booed off stage.
You need to apply the same idea when bringing up this kind of material. Even if you are 100% correct in everything, the folks here will not listen to you, nor will they read your links. I'm quite sure the folks here that blasted your links did not read every word (that is a lot to ask for though). They probably read the first paragraph, scrolled down the page, read a few sentences, and that's it.
I'm not sure it's that nobody cares, or if they just want to be 'right.' These are human flaws that most people have, and it's a hard character trait to get rid of for some. It's disgusting really. Have a conversation with a Christian and you can point out so many holes in their logic... but they just won't listen.
Non religious people are the same way when confronted with dodgy theories. Their minds shut down and find a way out. Since your part of a minority of beliefs you generally get ridiculed. Oh by the way, anyone that rips on you is a jerk. Plain and simple. You're 13 and some of the folks posting here are almost twice your age (I am twice your age). Ignore them unless there is value in their Hateraide.
I would suggest you get good books about this material. But get both sides of the argument, get a debunking book as well. You may want to start at things which can not be denied like slave labor, military industrial complex, prison industrial complex. If you want to move into the 'other material' start with bohemian grove. That can't be denied, well it can..by idiots.
The Bohemian Grove is real...and weird... but again it is not damning evidence of a grand conspiracy.
-------------------
So what do I think of the Illuminati?
I don't. I literally don't think about them. I know a lot about the organization, but at this point in my mind there is no proof of a grand conspiracy. A one world government will happen eventually, it seems silly everyone freaks out over it (NWO). By the way, that term originally referred to the end of the cold war, bush brought it up in a speech, which was on 9/11.
Is that proof or evidence of the Illuminaties existence? I would say no, and by a long shot. Is it impossible that Bush was referring to the secret society. No it is not physically impossible, but not probable.
What do I think of conspiracies in general?
Ugh this is a tough one. I read about them because it is interesting to me. Maybe it's odd, but I don't think it is. It's not the only thing I read about, right now I'm reading Guns, Germs, and Steel.
I do read about them because there are weird patterns that I don't get, and I can't find answers for them. There are consistent re-occurring symbols which are...odd. No, I'm not saying they are part of some conspiracy, but they are neat, and why are they there? There probably are simple answers, I just have a huge reading list and haven't gotten to read about these symbols yet (also haven't found a book on them).
I'm also just plain interested in symbolism in general, like family crests in stuff. I think the whole "lion represents the warrior, owl means knowledge, yadda yadda" is bs. I don't buy it.
I also want to read about the origin of religions and their spread through out the world. I think there is some shenanigans gong on there, but again, reading list and all. I wish I had Norroen's eyes I could get a lot more reading done then!

That was a great text wall, leroy, nice job.
As far as this thread goes, I'm kind of sorry for this guys. Like leroy said, I know you won't agree with me, and I should just accept that before I make people think I'm insane. I have my beliefs, you have yours, and I respect them 100%. Any offense you got from any of these kinds of threads I've made (WAY too many) is purely by accident, and I apologize if you felt this way. Cheers to all!

Actually, cybernetics seem to apply that you have control over the device. It's not the best defined thing in the world, I admit, but that's what I've been told.

Re: ilumanati controls the govement
I have a whole book about conspiracies. Yet the most obvious conspiracy I have ever witnessed is not included.
I am speaking of course about Maltesers.
Look at those crunchy delicious chocolate treats. Isn't it significant that the colors of those are white and red?
I seem to remember something using that same colour scheme. I also remember something related to this with the same name "Maltese".
Yes, it is true. This snack is made to you by neo-nazis who will recruit you to their neo-nazi army, when they think the time is right.

In addition to your research into the Illuminati, be sure to check into some of the other mysteries and conspiracies which threaten our way of life:
UFO coverup/Area 51/ [&@%!] probes
Reptilian overlords
Obama's forged birth certificate (Kenyan born president; 50 year coverup)
Flouride in the water (gov't mind control)
Mandatory vaccinations (gov't mind control; making us sick and only they have the cure)
Crop circles
Sometimes improbable stuff happens like you run out of gas and there is no money in your wallet but you look under the seat and find $10. It is probably angels in these cases.
JFK/Grassy Knoll/Second Gunman
Ghosts/Poltergeists (they show up on monitors and stuff)
Bilderburger Group
Trilateral Commission
Protocols of the Elders of Zion (global Jewish banking conspiracy; HQ in a mountain in Switzerland)
666/Antichrist (Social Security system first step toward Mark of the Beast)
Subliminal Communist indoctrination of our kids (Glenn Beck is the chief scholar in this field)
9/11 was an inside job
If you fold a dollar bill a certain way it shows the twin towers burning
Medicare death panels
Da Vinci Code
Numerals of the product of 9 and other numbers add together to make 9. e.g. 9x2=18, 1+8=9! 9x3=27, 2+7=9! 9x4=36, 3+6=9! What does it mean?

Re: ilumanati controls the govement
Sorry you feel that way, leroy. I was just providing more food for thought... or, ah, grist for the mill, as the case may be.leroybrown wrote:Got no love for these trollaz, no need to be friends.
I'd be happy to critique an actual argument that was given in favor of someone's pet conspiracy theory, but the notion of merely providing a youtube clip or dodgy link as if to say "there! now reply with a reasoned response!" just doesn't fly.

Concept.
Now, I read the entire post, and I find much of these theories to be all over the place, and also very all over the place, merging different theories together, but since I don't feel like writing another text wall, I will address your concerns as they appear, and tell you whether or not I still believe in them, and why that is, this time I'll try to give you guys the best proof possible, but that's going to be hard. It wouldn't be a conspiracy if there was hard proof all over the place, it sounds silly, and sounds a catch 22, but sometimes that's just the way it is.
