Re: Your Proudest Moment in Morrowind!
I third the "learning how to play" one. The game is easy enough, only you can mess it up way too easily too.
Getting the Moon and Star. Meeting Vivec. Endgame movies. All my favourite/proudest moments in TES games somehow come from the Morrowind main quest.
Learning how to use exploitable glitches to become a god myself. Learning how to NOT use glitches and still be kickass. As for glitches: beating Umbra on lvl 2 I think. With the levitation from the Moon shrine and at least 500 arrows :3
Oh, and back when the MCA (I think) had this nasty habit to sometimes spawn a -million- ruffians in one place: surviving a massive surprise fight almost the size of the Skyrim civil war in Balmora, with at least 20 ruffians killing ALL the guards and me having to snipe them down from the top of one of the buildings, spending almost all my arrows, all my potions and all my scrolls to survive by the time I managed to jump high enough. And getting filthy rich in the process.

First time buying Levitation (yesterday, actually). Personally, I can definitely see why it had to be removed, but dammit if I'm not using it while it's there
I'm on a rollercoaster that only goes up

After 20 hours of playing, and being totally mortified of every enemy, discovering I can actually fight with some degree of effectiveness.

Yep, it happens.
I was proud when I was actually aware of what was happening. When I was really young, and played Morrowind, all I did was kill people and cheat. Now I actually roleplay and play... I don't know how to say it.
Also, when I got 13 artifacts in one game session.

*whistle*
Opposite for me. After the first few enemies killed me and ate me, I stuck to the cities, did courier quests out the wazoo, House Hlaalu... But I always avoided fighting. RPed like crazy, though.
By the time I crawled to level 15 through mounds of dead nix-houds and thousands spent on trainers, me and my nearly untested Daedric Wakizashi had become a formidable fighter. I eventually decided to see what that business with Caius Cosades in Balmora was...

Re: Your Proudest Moment in Morrowind!
I did Larrius Varo's Camonna Tong massacring quest, then when the guards tried to arrest me I went on another killing spree.. when I was finished I yielded and talked to the guard, but I couldn't pay off my bounty because I had a death warrant! So I fought my way out of Balmora and whenever I return, the guards attack me, even though I ended up getting the Thieves Guild to pay my bounty off.
Happened in Ebonheart too, I was bored so I killed everyone i could find, the Duke, everyone in the Imperial Cult, the EEC people..needles to say another death warrant and guards in Ebonheart attacking me forever.

Killing everybody, using the cheat setpccrime"0" to reset my bounty, and using even more cheats to break my game. [/sarcasm]

Re: Your Proudest Moment in Morrowind!
Larrius Varo's Cammona Tong quest was one of the most satisfying I must say. And the best part, it intersects with two other quests, one each for House Hlaalu and the Thieves Guild, making it an effective way to kill three birds with one stone so to speak. Actually, as much as I love basically all the Dunmeri Factions and organisations, I very much dislike the Cammona Tong so cleansing Balmora of their presence was fairly satisfying, I just wish you could take it further and cleanse the entire House Hlaalu of their influence (which you can do to a degree, and there are mods which extend the idea).

Re: Your Proudest Moment in Morrowind!
Like so many have stated before me, the first time I beat the main quest was, for lack of better words, exhilarating. Not because it was difficult, but because of how it played out. You didn't need to "kill" some incredibly tough boss, nor did you need to destroy some world-eating monster....you just had to play your part in the role of the Nerevarine. I miss the unique qualities of Morrowind's story.
From the point where you step foot into the mountain and Dagoth Ur begins to speak to you until the moment when you talk to Azura, face to "face", it's an amazing moment.

Ha I remember I went around to every place I knew there were Camonnna Tong and killing all of them after that quest.. I tried to wipe them off Vvardenfell. I made sure to do my assault of the Dren Plantation last!OblivionDuruza wrote:Larrius Varo's Cammona Tong quest was one of the most satisfying I must say. The first time I actually finished my round-the-borders run of Vvardenfell was quite satisfying... took me an age to do it, but man did that circle of clear map make me feel good

Re: Your Proudest Moment in Morrowind!
I have to say it wasn't actually in Morrowind. I first became aquainted with the world when a good friend used it as the basis for a RPG (Long live Harnmaster); and as an adjunct I eventually started playing the game itself. Proudest moment was when I realized I could start using a Photoshop type program to add captions onto my screen shots. Now I'm driving the other RPGers nuts by sending out my weird pics. My favorite is still a shot where I had summoned a bonewalker, fought the battle and the screenshot takes place where I'm standing on a stair slightly above the Bonewalker with hands out (the 'about to spellcast' stance) by accident, my "hands" are just above the Bonewalker's head. So I captioned it "There is always a price. Sometimes it's a head rub."

Re: Your Proudest Moment in Morrowind!
My first post here and I've got two. First was figuring out how to travel all over the map like a pro without any headaches by knowing which with towns had silt riders, which mages guild teleport to use, mark/recall spells, etc.
*spoilers*
The second was on my second character visiting Dagoth Ur wondering what would happen since after a certain point in the main quest, sleepers give you his message 'inviting' you to see him. I was still in the early parts of the main quest and I figured I wouldn't get in to see him in the mountain, but I actually could. I was so ready to 'throw it down,' so to speak, but he said I was not ready and should come back later.
Gotta echo becoming the nerevarine. In a game with so little voice acting (and I'm not saying this is a bad thing), moments like that stick with you.

LOL! My first character was actually called Fast Eddie, in reference to Paul Newman's character in "The Hustler." I actually did house Telvanni and meeting Balmora's Fast Eddie is one of my favorite random gaming moments.Ragnarok wrote:welcome fast eddie, my favorite mouth.
Re: Your Proudest Moment in Morrowind!
So far,
Second so far
I seem to be obsessed with the Twin Lamps.
Just freed 7 slaves – simultaneously by marching them all the way from SE of Sterdecan's Farmhouse, around the lake, to the Dren Plantation (the closest key) in a single group.
It was a very "Abe the Mudokon" moment.
By the way, the Twin Lamps quests are very glitchy.
I am not a member or Kinsman in the Hlaalu, yet the TL quests activated for me anyway?
All except the Literacy Campaign, which I finally got to work correctly after using the Journal entry console command override. Even then I had to save the game, and restart Morrowind to have the highlighted blue text in the conversation box display correctly.
Also, if Hides-his-foot is killed for any reason (even if you are not the one who killed him) you still get blamed for it, and Ilmeni Dren will kick you out of the Twin Lamps.
Not sure if that is worth mentioning in the Wiki or not, but when I discovered it, I had to go back to a previous save game (because I honestly did not realize he died) to continue the quest line.
