Falling through the floor, and why it happens.

Sometimes, if you are unlucky, you will fall through the floor.

I know why.

When you go from for example, Vivec's St.Delyn to Temple, there is a quick pause, then a loading area bar. If you are in the air, but close to the ground, and the bar appears (to load a different area), you occasionally fall through the ground. This happens the most in Vivec, but it happens elsewhere too.

Never had a serious problem in this respect to be honest.
Perhaps that's because I've used the "tcl" command to much...

If its messing things up too badly, use a teleport spell to get out without ruining your game.

Sometimes typing "fixme" in the console will put you were you belong. If not, you can always use the console to teleport yourself back to the nearest room with the coc "placename" cheat.

thats happened to me at the aldruhn mages guild...while i was jumping down the stairs, then i died

Interventions and Recall work well - just cast it while you're falling before you hit the "bottom."

falls are quick sumtimes tho...so u die,and you have to reload

I haven't found them to be so quick that I can't access the magic menu, select recall, and cast the spell.

In any case, you should save often. So there.
