I need 2 Scrolls of Ekash Lock Splitting

Post by Ibrahim »

Where can I find them? I've been looking everywhere on the UESP for their location.

Ekash's Lock Splitter

There isn't a merchant that has it for sure, as it is randomly generated. However you can try the following as I have found it there in some of my games -

Audenian Valius – Vivec, Telvanni Enchanter
Barusi Venim – Tel Aruhn, Tower Living Quarters
Dobrienne Mornardl –Sadrith Mora Mage's Guild in Wolverine Hall
Folms Mirel – Caldera Mage's Guild
Ilen Faveran – Balmora, Temple
Janand Maulinie – Vivec Mage's Guild
Llether Vari – Ald-ruhn, Llether Vari, Enchanter ( Under Skar)
Tanar Llervi – Ald-ruhn Mage's Guild

The trick to finding one is to open the barter screen with the trader, if it is not there, cancel, leave the shop and then re-enter. Try again. The inventory resets each time you do this.
You may find it necessary to leave the game and then restart to get them to change their list.
Other than these, you will have to search through bandit/smuggler caves as they will appear as levelled items.

Gaaah!!! I simply can't find any of these scrolls! I've been restarting my game for ages. I even checked in many of the stores, and it's just not there. By the way, I'm level 6, so could it be that these scrolls only appear at high levels?

Can anyone tell me just how to open 2 locks of 75 points each. I'll do anything except cheat or add mods. (This is for me to get the Robe of St. Roris, by the way) :)

How about using the keys? :D

Rusty Key – Found on a dreamer in the tunnel to the left after you enter the shrine, and fits the chest in there containing the Robe of St. Roris.

Old Key – Found on a dead Ordinator in Assemanu before you go into the shrine, fits the door to Assemanu Shrine Interior

Rohugh, you are my hero. :D
The reason I never saw the keys was because I was too weak to fight the dreamers. :D

use a soul to enchant an amulet with an open lock spell, or swipe a skeleton key.

Foolish Rohugh, don't you know M'aiq carries several thousand of them around

The best luck I've had with finding the Ekash lock splitter has been with the enchanter at your Telvanni stronghold. And some of the enchanters in Vivec.

I've checked the wiki but have been so far unsuccessful, does any one know if their is required level to begin finding Ekash's Locksplitter and if so what that level may be?

I use the XBOX for Morrowind. I apologize, I saw checked for a thread regarding the Ekash Locksplitter and when I saw there was one I thought it might be better to use it than create a new one. As far as finding them that's not usually the problem, I was just wondering if they appear randomly starting at level 1 or if you had to reach a certain level before they started to show up. I have a tendancy to find the unhingeing scrolls more often at lower levels but I enjoy running Bloodmoon starting at level 4 and the only problem I usually encounter is opening some of the higher locks required for the MQ.
