Re: Minecraft
We could just set up a PayPal? Much easier. If you leave it to someone it may not go through. Just collect donations and use them as necessary, yes?

I suppose, just thought it'd be easier, and because I know nothing of paypal.

Re: Minecraft
I can do it. I already have a PayPal. I just have to update some credentials and we can use that for the server, if you'd all like. I'll do it over the weekend; I'm going to be out of town but I'll do it.
If we do a UESP server, how do you guys want it to go? I play on a server where we set up a "safe point" at spawn and then made one group town, but people can venture off and do other things. It could be fun to set up a little "village" or something near or at spawn for people to get started, but that's just an idea. Does anyone have any preferences or ideas for how to make it super cohesive and fun?

Do you have to pay to join?
A group town would sound good! We could maybe set up an economy based on the rarity and usefulness of an item.

Re: Minecraft
I want to live underground, and get over my craziness while mining.
There will be a hole on the surface, one square.
And that's all you see without venturing in.
Avron how does the pay pal thing work?

Re: Minecraft
A town at the start would be nice, especially if it was truly safe (walls to keep mobs from wandering in, every corner is lit, maybe even some community chests for those who need some supplies...). And underground cities are a must. Every time I try to build one, the server goes down.

Re: Minecraft
I like the rule "don't build within sight of other people." So, basically, group projects aside, that means you aim to build in a spot where you can't see anyone else in your line of vision. That gives you enough room to do things without imposing on others. Although I'm known for building ridiculously far out others on my server. (The town is not far from spawn, 0, 0 - I'm way out in 5000, 5000.)
I know about Paypal. I'll take care of it, don't worry. Just let me get home first.

I like the idea of having our own space, but at the same time, I wouldn't want to be too far away from everyone else, otherwise you might as well not be on multiplayer.

Re: Minecraft
That's what group projects are for. If you're working on a solo project, of course you want everyone to leave it alone. If it's a group project, of course that rule doesn't apply. And, of course, if a project requires multiple people to finish it a decent pace, it will be rather large. Quite an eye sore if it's around anything else.

Honestly, you should try and get the Technic pack installed.
If I ever get minecraft, I can show you how to build a generator that can make enough power to keep 3 quarries running at once. More then enough to keep the entire village's machines running.

Tekkit is great fun; I've been playing it with my sister and a friend recently. We have a bunch of machines on the surface but I found a way to generate infinite geothermal energy in the nether (a bit hax0r but it was fairly expensive to set upIamgoofball wrote:Honestly, you should try and get the Technic pack installed.

Is this meant to be witty, informative or deep? I doubt I can manage all three.

Re: Minecraft
Well, you should make some tutorials on how to build certain machines with it!
Also, if you're using Equivilent Exchange and RedPower 2, you should totally make a Red Matter Toolset machine.
