I went to see how they count the votes using the Single Transferable Vote. And I interviewed some MPs.

Today I decided to waste money and buy a Portal gun replica...because I could. Got it two minutes after the announcement; it sold out in 30. There will be lots of awesome nerdy pictures in everyone's future.

Today I sang several patriotic songs including the Star Spangled Banner for a naturalization ceremony in which 51 people became United States citizens! Very cool experience.
Now I am waiting to sing with a select group of men for UTPA's school ring unveiling ceremony.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Oh, missed this!

Well, when we go out it's usually to meet with our accounts or buyers, which is what I'm doing. There's a big summit out there for one of my accounts that I'm flying out for, plus some meetings with our buyers. It's just networking and brainstorming strategies for sales, really. I've been pressured to think of how to get more, so I have to think really hard. Maybe I can think of something good, generate some profit, and keep my job. That'd be nice for a while, at least, until my teaching and degree gets off its feet.leroybrown wrote:What do you do on a business trip like this? Do whatever you need to do to relax this weekend, and not think about it.

ZeRoc, you should make a special trip to see Avron wherever she is in your great state. If she ever came to Texas that's what I would do.

Yeah, probably, Papa Jeff. I've been plagued for a week with it and was woken up last night in horrible agony, so I might go to the doctor just to make sure. I'm going to relax, though.Jeff wrote:It might be nerves/anxiety.Avron the S'wit wrote:In more serious Avron land, been busy preparing for the trip to Utah. And don't bother, ZeRoc - my schedule is too packed! Will be buying lots of postcards to send to people though.

I choose to exercise my free will, and not take your statement in that way. It's far more exciting to imagine you crashing a car into someones house. Twice.

Didn't do a whole lot, did a couple of math assignments, discovered the musical stylings of "They Might Be Giants," (Right now I like them more than I like Weezer) and talking to my friend-girl about some serious stuff. (I may not have been able to get her to be in love with me back, but I think that I took a step in the right direction.)

So i've been up for over 24 hours. Went into town at 2 pm with my friends. 5 of us stayed at my friend's house, his parents are away. I got home at 11:45 am. Had a great day anyway.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Well this didn’t happen today but a few weeks back.
I was talking with my friend while she was driving and somehow a normal conversation turned into one about sex. She um… offered to um.. Well go there with me. I did not mean to, but I was repulsed and my reaction was instantaneous. “Ew!” She didn’t look all that happy by that .. Immediately I tried to fix things but the damage was done. I haven’t seen her in person since then. If this story doesn’t make any sense to you, I’m a girl. Now don’t get me wrong! I’m not homophobic or anything like that.. As a matter of fact, I’m attracted to both genders, but it all depends on the person and I clearly am not attracted to her.

That's pretty cool. You like flying? I always did but that's because anytime I have flown it has been to a vacation spot, so naturally I associate airports and flying with good times.Avron the S'wit wrote:Oh, missed this!Well, when we go out it's usually to meet with our accounts or buyers, which is what I'm doing.
