PSP Games.
I just bought myself a PSP and was wondering if anyone here also has one and could recommend some games for it.
It came with God of War and I've bought Tekken Dark Resurrection and ordered MGS: Portable Ops.
So any opinions on good games?

It's not as good as the original playstation version, but I'd definitely say Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth and Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core if you're into RPG's like that. (The FFVII should've at least been put on the ps3... gawd)
The shadow of the past never dies, so walk forward knowing you can become better than what you've left behind.

Nah, never could get into those games.Ninja Gaiden
That looks alright I might get that.Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
I haven't played FFVII yet and I rather play it before any of the spin offs.Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core
That's that one with the cops jumping on cars and stuff isn't it? The one that came out near the release of the PSP? I think I'll get that, should be cheap too.Pursuit Force
Thanks for the suggestions.

i just finished Crisis Core and it was dang good. i would recommend playing it before FFVII itself because CC sets up the whole story of VII, but yet doesn't give anything away.
As for x-play giving it a 2/5, that score was the exception, not the rule. the game has been averaging 8.5 or so from other review sites. don't pass it up!
As for other games on the psp, you can play the first FF and FFII, though II is kinda crummy. FF Tactics: war of the lions is a good one. God of War is also spectacular so you'll definitely enjoy that.

Well I went to the shops to buy a new pair of jeans and ended up getting Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth as well. (Don't you just love big department stores?
)
So far it has been quite a good play, what with adding a slightly adventurey type of play in the dungeons and a good storyline.

Here's a list (in no particular order):
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters
Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions
Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles
Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow
Warhammer 40K: Squad Command
Well, that's about it for now.

I also played it myself and even though I hate the FF series, this one was horribleraven wrote:i just finished Crisis Core and it was dang good. i would recommend playing it before FFVII itself because CC sets up the whole story of VII, but yet doesn't give anything away.

I really know only two games for the PSP that are worth buying, since I personally have a NDS and don't have a PSP (nor do I have plans on buying one).
But, from what I've played on NDS, Star Trek: Tactical Assault (published by Bethesda) is nice, however it is seriously difficult. And Star Wars: Lethal Alliance (LucasArts) is also fun, though at least on the DS it can get a bit wonky in the controls.
