Oh no, you're not deflecting the onus of proof that easily. Last time I checked, the canon clearly stated he was a mage. Where in canon does it say he's not a mage?
Your the one claiming something, you have to prove the claim
I make no claims to it being or not being, just said I've not hear either way.
No, you're the one claiming something. Namely, that the Warden isn't canonically a mage. If you're so sure I'm wrong, it's up to you to demonstrate otherwise. Otherwise, just accept that he's a mage and move on.
Of course, even if you could demonstrate that the Warden isn't a mage, it wouldn't matter. As Oathbreaker said, any given class of Warden, even the non-canonical ones, can kick the crap out of the Dovahkiin. So why fight it? You'd just be digging yourself deeper into a hole. No, your best plan of action would be to try and introduce some new variable- companions, say. Which wouldn't help, of course, since the Warden's companions are a billion times better than the crap for craps in Skyrim, but at least you could drag things out a bit. You know as well as we do that in a one on one fight, the Dovahkiin would be Crushing Prison'd meat.
No we don’t, ice shout fr ease the gray warden he cant move alwoing for the dovhkin to do what ever he wants. Then stop them in spot with paralyzed , and beat him up, once he gets up just spam shield bash, bam instaint win
even then, the gray warden has to charge most of his spells which you can stop with shield bash, and just use smiting enchantment and potions to make it where he cant hurt you with magic.
There really isn't any way to fairly compare the two. Both are rather capable in many different ways, no matter what anyone else says. If I had to, I would give the edge to Dovahkiin, however. While the Grey Warden can either be a devastatingly powerful warrior or mage or rogue, the Dovahkiin can be all three at once. There are more exploits available to the Dovahkiin (I could be wrong as I haven't played Dragon Age in a while). Warrior Warden? Just chain paralyze him from a distance with your bow. Mage Warden? Just enchant some armor to resist magic, stop time, and destroy him. Rogue Warden? Rogues are a joke, why would you play this class? And if I recall correctly, the Warden was so vulnerable to things like ambushes that it wasn't funny. Ambushing opponents just happens to be one of the easiest ways to kill your enemies in Skyrim. There are too many ways to go about combat in Skyrim, and much fewer in Dragon Age.
Against each other, it's not really fair. The games are different, the combat is different (with it being much more lousy in Dragon Age than it is in Skyrim, though that wasn't why ANYONE was there so there is no reason to complain about it), the two characters are different (someone who can only choose what one wears once, only varying the accessories that go with it, versus someone with countless outfits. Who wins? The person with a dress for every occasion.), they're different.
The better question is, if I needed to hire a mercenary, who would I hire first? That way, you can compare them subjectively rather than objectively. I would probably hire the Grey Warden, as she is more prone to more complex solutions than "Smash in head 'till it be dead", but she is also pretty good at that as well. Of course, against their preferred opponent (Dragons, the Blight critters), I would hire the one who was actually capable of killing it. But, otherwise, I would go with the Grey Warden as the smarter of the two.

Batman is a straight up bustah, so overrated. I'd say he was the Chuck Norris of superheroes, but that wouldn't even cover half of it.
The only DC superhero worth a frag is Lobo, everybody knows that.
While I and my favorite person ever would agree with Lobo's absolute awesome... Batman is Batman. Sure you could equate him to Chuck Norris if you hate awesome things, but Batman isn't overrated at all. Over-hyped due to movie popularity certainly, but not overrated.
And for what it's worth there's some precedent for how magic interacts with other universes. Drakengard ---> Nier. Magic utterly wrecks the natural balance of any universe other than the one it originated from. So assuming mutual devastation, if the fight didn't end quickly it would come down to which combatant survived the longest; in this scenario I give the edge to the Warden due to having a beefed up immune system from the effects of the Joining.

I've never heard of a Warden getting sick from anything and at least early on metabolism is increased pretty dramatically. There was never any indication of when that ends but it clearly doesn't last forever, however if it lasts say... a solid year or two then I give a longer edge to the Warden. The only sickness they seem to succumb to is the taint after an indeterminable number of decades.

Its not indeterminable, its 30 years.
And they say you are imune to dark sawn becuse you have their blood, they never say anything else about sickness.

It's stated pretty clearly that it varies. Some sooner than others and etc. 30 years is the average, not by any means a timer.

Exactly, no mention of sickness whatsoever from anyone including your Warden companion that's happier than a giddy sugar rushing child to tell you all about Warden antics. But he mentions the increased metabolism which in most real life cases implies a healthier and stronger immune system.

We live only up to 30 years, I think the excat is we live up to be thrity years old.
so its not undecide, you can die quicker, but its only betwen 30 years.

He dont mettion if they can get headaches eithewr, or if they feel cold.

yes, but not aginst EVREYTHING.
Imune systems can build up aginst spcific things, like dark spawn blood.
DorostheConqueror wrote:According to canon, the Warden is a mage, and mage's can most certainly use magic. As for the Dovahkiin, he's a Nord, again, going strictly by canon. He's neither an "impreal" nor an orc, and at any rate, neither of those races are much good in a fight anyway. Shouts can be used quicker with the proper specs, true, but so what? A useless Shout done once every thirty seconds is no better than a useless Shout done once every forty seconds. Useless is useless, period. And he won't even be able to get off the first shout, because again, Crushing Prison.
aren't Elite enemies immune to the immobility. and aren't you also completely forgetting that Crushing Prison has a 60 second cool down time? sounds pretty useless guy. especially once you remove 85% of the damage.
I'd say the Grey Warden. He/She has more followers then the Dragonborn can have. so he/she would get out numbered and that would be that. I love them both but my Grey Warden is also a much higher level then my Dragonborn from that standpoint, so are her companions.
I'd rather not have them fight to be honest, not sure Alistair could handle it if my Warden ended up dying instead.
But if they did fight, my Warden would win. She's 30 levels higher then my Dragonborn, so no matter which game they fought in there's still a 30 level difference. So my warden would wipe the floor with my Dragonborn in less then a minute. She'd probably in all honestly one hit kill her.
If you haven't play Dragon Age Origins (or Skyrim) then you can't really give a true answer, because the Warden is YOUR character. Just like the Dragonborn is YOUR character, this question at it's most basic form is; Which of your characters would win? Your Warden or Your Dragonborn? You create both characters however you want and play them however you want. It isn't like in Mass Effect where you play as Commander Shephard who's a very specific type of character, you just make their choices for them. Dragon Age Origins has the same character freedom of Skyrim, it just isn't an open world game.
My DA:O character has completed the whole main storyline, all the companion quests, all the DLC, and the expansion. So naturally my DA character is a very high level (Mid 50s, I can't recall her specific level atm) where as my Dragonborn is in the late 20s. It's not even a contest, it's a massacre.

The level cap is not 25 in Origins, I can send you a picture of my character from origins when she was level 44. I'm on xbox so I'm not using a mod. If we're bringing Hawke into the mix (DA2 character), then she would kill everyone...cause she's awesome .3.

Ugh, these topics are so bad sometimes. No matter who you choose, it would be the same mindless arguing, despite the topic being made for laughs.
Few good examples:
Grey Warden vs Dovahkiin
Courier or Lone Wanderer vs. Dovahkiin
SS4 Goku vs. Dovahkiin
Master Chief vs. Dovahkiin
Sephiroth vs. Dovahkiin
God vs. Dovahkiin
No matter what argument, if it takes place on any elder scrolls board, it will always be Dovahkiin, everytime. Usually, this is due to either a) blind fanboyism or b) people don't know enough lore for the challenger
and then there are the silly "cite your source" squabbles. Oi vey...
Hey, I got an idea: Why don't we leave cross world battles alone seeing as how they result in massive flame fests? Last thing we need is Kratos vs. Dovahkiin 2: Electric Boogaloo. So, let's choose something very simple: Sheogorath vs. Dovahkiin. Sheogorath.
Actually if it were The Grey Warden vs. the God-slayer (reincarnated Nerevarine) I wouldn't know who to choose. They've both achieved similar things but the God-slayer did it on his own while the Grey Warden had help. Being that it's THE Warden I want to say he could maybe par up to the reborn Nerevarine but it'd take a lot of luck for the Warden to get an edge of any kind, much less win decisively.
The Dovahkiin is just genuinely not that powerful in my eyes. Tiber Septim had the same gift but if it was Dovahkiin vs. Tiber Septim, Tiber would win hands down.
