I MISSED THE POACHER'S AXE!!! :(

On my first trip through Halted Stream Camp I left the Poacher's Axe on the Bandit. 50 hours of gameplay later, I regret that decision. Is there anyway AT ALL to get another Poacher's Axe? Can I loot it from a random hunter or bandit? Even if there's a tiny chance of them having one I would like to know if it's possible.

BTW I play on a PS3 so I can't just console code one out of thin air. Man that would be awesome.

Head back and look for it. Check all the bodies.

did the bodies disappear? if they did then you cant get it back i don't think.

The Wiki page says that Halted Stream Camp has a Respawn Time of either 10 or 30 days. Now, whether that means the Poacher's Axe will respawn if you haven't picked it up on a previous visit, I can't say. It's a "unique" item, but, perhaps it might continue to respawn until it is "Taken". However, it's possible it won't respawn after the camp has been flagged as "Cleared".

Surely somebody with a solid knowledge of how the game is bolted together can give a definitive non-speculative answer.

Thanks for the input, guys. I went through it two more times and it's not respawning. No big deal it's possibly the worst unique item in the game. I wanted to disenchant it and make a sweet hunting bow and go around hunting and selling meat and pelts but pretty much every animal dies in 1 hit so big whoop:)

well, you could just go to Clearspring Cave for the Bow of the Hunt. you can't unenchant it though.

also, I have 2 Poachers Axes, it can respawn. but dungeons tend to stop respawning after the first of second run through them, for me anyway.
