Hello, UESP forumites! I've got a new idea here so I thought we'd give it a go. Similar to the moderator interviews we do for each forum anniversary, I thought we'd try something along that light with someone much more important.

As you know, the forums wouldn't be here without the UESP wiki, and the wiki is the brainchild of one very important man: Dave Humphrey - aka "Daveh" and known about here as the admin. While Dave is a very pivotal force on the wiki, forum users may not know very much about him, and I field a lot of questions about him that even I can't answer!

So, Dave has agreed to do a sort of "forum interview" and take some of our member questions! This is your chance to ask him something special and get to know the guy behind the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages!

I'm sure I don't have to tell you to be polite in your questions and to ask things not found on his wiki userpage, linked above. We'll collect questions for a week or two and then send them off to Dave to get his responses. So think about it and submit your questions here!

Do you have a favourite race to play as in the elder scrolls?

What made you start the UESP in the first place?

How hard was it for you to create the wiki and the forums?
At what point in the wiki's life did people start to show up?
What caused you to create a forum page for the UESP?

Why did you go with this layout while under maintenance instead of leving the old one?
When did you create the chat room? Just recently, or more than a month ago? I just don't know.

What was the motivation behind the separate forums? Why not keep discussion on the talk pages or go for a wiki-style forum?
Did you intend for the forums to become so separate from the wiki or was it a natural progression?
I often feel like contributing to the wiki, but on all the pages I go to someone's added some much more valuable information than I had to offer. What would your absoulte #1 tip be for someone who knows the community and the games but never seems to be at the front line of wiki editing even though they want to contribute?

This whole thing started more than a decade ago with the Daggerfall FAQ. How do you feel about the astounding progress UESP as made, if I remember correctly, being one of the top 5000 most visited websites on the internet?

Do you spend much time around the Forums, not in an administrative capacity or any other official capacity, but just browsing and reading some of the discussion the Forums have made possible?

Additionally, how great a part of your life is maintaining the Forums, and Wiki for that matter?

As to question: how did it feel for you to see the UESP inaugurate each new chapter of the Elder Scrolls into the existing knowledge base?
