Well, considering I was thinking of changing my location to 'Leaving for Liberty City' - I'm scared at how much time GTAIV may take up...

When my 360 died [again], I went back to the excellent San Andreas, which I finished just the other day. No other game is quite like a good GTA, and I have sky high hopes for this one... can't wait.

Looks great, sounds amazing. Did I say I can't wait yet? I did... oh.

"Buff-up" - now there's a phrase I've--- never, ever heard before. I am also intending to do more Buffing-Up.
As for voting pro-GTA: which other game series allows you to sell drugs from ice-cream vans? Not TES, that's for sure...

Have you played any of the GTA's? They stick to a particular pattern; they get better... which means, at the very least, GTAIV will be an exceptionally put together game.

You know what makes pancakes a little better? A drop of a good single malt; but none of the Speysides, thankyou - it's got to be rich (but not too smoky), as pancakes are by definition pretty light/sweet. You want to just complement the taste.

Damn.. now I want to eat pancakes, sup a good whiskey, or maybe play a game which isn't out yet.

I'm also going to hold my opinion of the game until I play it. I have played and loved all GTAs since the original on PSX, but in a lot of interviews I have read about GTA4 the words "graphics" and "realism" have been thrown around a little too much for my liking.

If it is just an upgraded GTA III with a bigger city, more things to do, etc, and it follows the same formula it will be an amazing game.

And yeah I like buttermilk pancakes with bacon, eggs and maple syrup.
Removed due to size.

I prefer nice thick pancakes with lots of butter, no syrup. Also, no stacks. I eat pancakes about 30 seconds after they come off the stove/griddle/whatever. I'm odd. Blame my grandfather. Thirty seconds after coming off the heat, his pancakes no longer existed in this realm of existance.

Wow, PSX? Haven't heard that for a while.
And come on, surely it will do exactly what you fortell. Is there any actual chance of me coming on in a month or so, saying "boy was that a disappointment"? I doubt it. Either that, or I'm setting myself up for a big fall. :D

All I've seen are the trails, and the - fantastic - website.

As for 'realism'? I've always wanted GTA to be less cartoony - not realistic, per se, but just less of the C word. And that shift was always going to happen, as the grunt of the 360/PS3 now allows for a more detailed, 'realistic' world. That's the Non-Ninty way of doing things.

But having just 'left' San Andreas, I'll actually miss CJ; he was a likable character, with some of the best come-backs in any game. Will Nico be as likable? Not sure. But Liberty City is the real-deal when it comes to GTA, and all I want is GTAIII with SA/VC's gameplay tweaks, plus the added prettiness/tech-stuff courtesy of this gen of consoles. And I will definitely miss parachuting from airplanes and wotnot, which I believe isn't in IV, because of the smaller map size.

Hmm... I wonder what a pancake would look like if it jumped out of a plane... most things turn into pancakes (or relatively similar shaped objects) when they fall from such an altitude... would a pancake change? Or would it still be a pancake? I imagine if you dropped maple syrup on top of it THEN it would change, seeing as how the syrup would blast the poor cake into multitudes of tiny pieces upon landing. But yes, would a pancake still be that oh so delicious thing we call a pancake if it landed from jumping out of a plane?
