Is anyone else having trouble seeing underwater?
It is something I have noticed recently: not being able to see underwater anymore. I am currently stuck in Forelhost at the well because a part underwater leads to the rest of the dungeon...but I can't get there! Does anyone have a clue about this? I have notice it in another dungeon when I couldn't see underwater (Chillwind depths). Many thanks in dvance for suggestions/help!

Re: Is anyone else having trouble seeing underwater?
I also started having the same issue after installing the latest patch. I guess this is what they call the 'improved visual transition while going underwater'.
Whenever I dive, the screen goes monochrome, a sort of dullish green shade, so to see anything I have to move the camera to see myself from above through a layer of water. But I can't begin to imagine what problem it will present when swimming in places where there is no space above, like in the Blindsighted quest.
Since I am not sure about there being a way to downgrade the game to the state before the patch, I suppose we'll have to wait until the next patch. If this is a frequent issue, Bethesda will have to do something about it. I do hope so.
Ah, the price you have to pay for those nice kill cams, eh?

In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity.

If it's alright, then you're all wrong.
But why bounce around to the same damn song?

Re: Is anyone else having trouble seeing underwater?
I read about a "going underwater issue" in the Patch Discussion thread, but that was specifically for PS3. Not sure if the two are related, maybe a less common version on PC? The PS3 issue was solved by deleting game and patch data (not saves, mind you) and re-installing.

Probably a patch since I can see fine and I haven't gotten any patches.

Re: Is anyone else having trouble seeing underwater?
I play on PS3, and the 1.5 patch has made everything underwater-related better. That's one of the improvements 1.5 added. Better transition, better sight. Before underwater just looked like a big murky haze, you couldn't see 2 feet in front of your face, or see through the surface of the water either. Now everything is clear.

I can see better than normal after the patch, but obviously there are some bugs that can occur. I guess all that can be done is wait for a fix, it's not like you go underwater much anyway.

Right you are! It's unfortunate that the big selling point for the Argonian race in this game is that can breathe underwater, but there is barely any underwater exploration!Mr.Argonian wrote:I can see better than normal after the patch, but obviously there are some bugs that can occur. Yea, I have this problem when I turn the ENB that I use on. When I turn it off, I can see fine.
This started happening after the patch.

Re: Is anyone else having trouble seeing underwater?
I wonder why some PC players get this issue after installing the patch and some don't. Probably it has something to do with the capacity of the video drive.

Re: Is anyone else having trouble seeing underwater?
I've had the same problem on PS3 since the 1.5 patch. What used to be clear is now a murky mess where I can't see more than 3 feet in front of me
Re: Is anyone else having trouble seeing underwater?
game froze for me after patch 1.5 on the PS3, did the "game data utility" trick and deleted the game data and patch rebooted the ps3 and everything is fine, now. They added some green haze/blur which looks much more real than crystal clear water. HOnestly if you've even went swimming in a river they are rarely clear. its what should happen underwater no visability. I haent tried the northern ocean area yet, that should be blurry but clear and cold.

My game on PS3 now freezes up when I go underwater. Have to turn it off and restart. Sucks.

This is happening to me too. They better fix it.elsergio wrote:My game on PS3 now freezes up when I go underwater. Have to turn it off and restart. Sucks.
Edit: Delete the game data and updates (not saves) then redownload the updates and reinstall the game. It fixed it for me.
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

Re: Is anyone else having trouble seeing underwater?
Yep, that's definately a bug, not the way they've made the water as it is now. It's more realistic and slightly easier to see, the way Beth has made it now.kailay wrote:this is what it looks like

Re: Is anyone else having trouble seeing underwater?
That's what I see too. I didn't have that before upgrading to the 1.5 patch. Oh well, at any rate I did the Blindsighted Quest before the new patch.kailay wrote:this is what it looks like

Re: Is anyone else having trouble seeing underwater?
Is there a fix for this? I just started to go back to my pc after getting the new graphics card and some great mods, but this glitch is making me stay with the 360. Its impossible to see underwater, its not black, just a murky green.

Re: Is anyone else having trouble seeing underwater?
I just discovered that when you turn off the collision with the console (on the PC) while underwater you start seeing.
