Check any bandit camp, they tend to have light armor. This will probably depend on your level.

Also, in Bruma there is a quest for a guy who I think is named Bradon Lirian. At the end of the quest you'll have to kill a man named Raynil Dralas. He has full mithril armor. Also, check the whole cave you find him in for loot. (It's small and there are no other enemies.)

The Bradon Litharian Quest is based on level. So if you are not seeing Mythril Armour yet then he will not have it.
I will not conform to my enviornment, rather I will change it and mold it to my desire.

Maybe he likes it.

I hate the plastic-looking Glass Armour in Oblivion; ES III:Morrowind has very tasteful looking glass armour by comparison.

So I end up wearing a set of Elven Armour instead which IMO looks much better.

Or pump your heavy armor up and go all out and wear deadric! OK, so everyone loves their assassin in tight black robes or the morag tong armor (which i acctually love!) but theres nothing more fearful than waking up to see me standing over you with my Blade of Woe in hand and whispering, "Sithis be with you" before the usuall, and complimentry stab to the chest :D

Too slow for me! Heavy Armour slows you down a lot, and I prefer speed and mobility in combat: to fight, charge and change ground to my advantage whenever I like. I equipped my 2nd character (fighter/mage style) with heavy armour and got irritated at how slow she moved and how often she got surrounded by multiple dremona in unfavourable conditions.

Sure, the heavy armour keeps her alive, but my light armour fighter would almost always have evaded such situations totally by running to a better place to stand his ground.

Trick is to pump it up as much as you can in the tutorial section when you start...you find rusty iron and you can just stand there and get hit...one fireball to the rats and their toast ;)

I agree that the Glass Armour doesn't live up to expectation, but to wear Elven instead on the basis of taste??!! Talk about looking like gold plated tat!!!

But then of course that is poss just my lack of taste!

Yes there is. Waking up in the morning after a night of sleeping in a bandit camp, hair looking like you've just been through a gorse bush backwards, armour imprint in the side of your face (well if you don't use it as a pillow, some bandit might run off with it in the night), and having to look in a mirror! :D

I said, it's the slowing down that irritates me; and high Heavy Armour skill doesn't change that ...

... and I have better things to do than let myself get bitten by rats; there's Oblivion Gates to raid, Dremona to kill and Sigil Stones to loot.

Come come now, we both know that isn't true!
Expert - heavy armor encumbers him 50%
Master- Does not encumber him at all

It's never too hard to stay there for a little bit and let somthing hit you good chance to work on block too ;)

I stand corrected on the expert/mastery skill perks.

However, I am not so lame as to exploit the system like that; you might as well use the console commands to set whatever skill you want to whatever you desire - save your time too.

It's not exploiting. I'm not suggesting you just stand there and take it to the chest and just get mindless skillups, however i'm saying be creative when you kill the things in the tutorial! Just don't kill em as quick ;)
