Bio: Growing up in California wasn’t easy for Michelle. Her family didn’t have much and often lived paycheck to paycheck. She grew up in a rundown home in a neighborhood full of criminals and thugs. Every now and then her grandfather would visit, and every time he would tell her to join the military. He would tell her about the benefits one could receive from joining. Michelle pondered his suggestion many times but always assumed there would be something else she could do. That there would be another way out of poverty. Michelle turned her efforts to finding a job but only found herself to be miserable once she got it. After her grandfathers passing she decided to sign up and join.
