And this is absolutely true, though no one can be COMPLETELY void of any sexual feelings toward the other gender. But yes, you can definitely be attracted to just one gender.Deandra wrote:But why is it impossible to believe that somebody's sexual urges might always tend towards one particular gender? Everyone, to a certain point, shares a level of attraction with someone of the same sex. It may not be purely-sexual, but it's still an attraction. It's all how you define it, really. For men, it's a "man crush", for women it's..whatever women call it.Deandra wrote:But why is it impossible to believe that somebody's sexual urges might always tend towards one particular gender? Ah, I see your point. I can appreciate a good looking woman when I see one, except I have no sexual urges towards her.

Re: Sexuality
Attraction for people is a part of humanity. Relationships within any context and the desire for such are part of the greater web of social behavior that allowed humans to progress to the level of advancement that we have so far attained.

I am actually surprised that the human race can pro-create... I mean... I cannot look at some dudes hairy arse... and go... I gotta have that.
Then you have to actually think about the type of dude that shaves it.

Or actors...
Or at the behest of their partner...

Lighten up for crying out loud.
Legitimate Question: Why is it that people who go against the "norm", are always so defensive about it, to the point of being aggressive/militant?
If you are confident, content, happy, (whatever word you want to use), then why does it bother you so much that others do not like, or agree with it?

It's true for just about any group that feels it's being attacked, Be it true or not.
Then they develop conditioning to react strongly to any sort of insult, All the while thinking they are the Victim.

I like how you perceive tone where there was none. First, I was joking with you (or so I thought), and second, you have no idea where I was coming from.Jeff wrote:Lighten up for crying out loud.

Instead of you getting defensive, how about taking it for what it is and relaxing. Sheesh..
Re: Sexuality
Because you still have to live with other people? Because their views are wrong or messed up in your opinion? because you don't want to be called disgusting because of something completely arbitrary? Because others might not be able to break norms as comfortably as yourself because of other people?Jeff wrote:If you are confident, content, happy, (whatever word you want to use), then why does it bother you so much that others do not like, or agree with it?

Re: Sexuality
Except that shaving ones ass is completely irrelevant to pretty much anything, while being discriminated against because of which sex chromosomes you were born with on issues like freedom and income is so important that it shapes pretty much every aspect of your life when you're the one being discriminated against. In a world where women are the victims of war rape, honor killings, genital mutilation, forced marriages and thousands of laws and taboos to oppress them, you're wondering why feminists are furious? Really?leroybrown wrote:I text walled about this on another forum. My point was that their 'in your face' attitude is counter productive towards their goals. BTW, feminists have never gotten anywhere by asking politely, so your point is ridiculous.

I'm being sarcastic. It's difficult to accuse others of something you're doing yourself, unless you're willing to accept you want a double standard, though that would tend to invalidate your complaint.Mrs T wrote:I'm not sure what you're trying to get at here.Jedi Taters wrote: You think their views are wrong because they think your views are wrong.
