"Exploring," he said. "I've been all across Tamriel, but mostly I prefer our homeland. I make a living off donations from escorting pilgrims through more...unsavory regions."

K'yor stalked along the walls slowly, growing impatient, finally deciding his mannerisms would be viewed with concern; he sat on the floor, laying his battleaxe down.
Closing his eyes, he calmed himself, ready for the time came that he could use his pent up energy.

Maera laughed, a pure, clear sound like the pealing of a bell. "Sounds like it would just be easier to rob them."

Andril exited the Council Chamber and entered the Atrium. He took a moment to regard the gathered mercenaries, then spoke, "When you are ready, the Hortator will see you now."
The group was led into the Council Chamber where they stood huddled together before a raised dais, upon which sat a number of throne-like chairs. These chairs were empty, save for one, in which sat a striking Dunmer women in flowing, gold-trimmed red robes and exquisite bonemold armour.
"Thank you for coming," she breathed deeply, "I must inform you, what I am about to ask you to do is not something to be taken lightly."

"Of course," said Ralos. "But whether I shall consent to this task is another matter entirely."

Denal saluted. "Yes, m'lady."

Ring-a-ding, baby.

"How much are we being paid for this, exactly?" Maera asked inquisitively.

"One would hope calling out a one of the Skaal isn't something done without reason," K'yor crossed his arms, but his demeanor was relaxed, "What can the Skaal do for our neighbors from the south?"

Re: Morrowind 4E166
Denemus ran as fast as he could across the pealing tundra, the snow on the ground was starting to thin out as the rain poured upon his wolfskin, it covered the most of his armour from the harshness of the weather. As he reached the atrium, he stormed in expecting to see hundreds of others, he had no idea why he might have been invited. Except, he found non one except the guards on the walls.
He noticed one of the doors was open, and it appeared to invite him in. As he walked into the room he noticed what appeared to be a group of mercenaries, he opened his mouth for a few seconds, "Does anyone knw why I might ha...", he shut himself up immediately as he noticed the woman in extravagant clothing and armour sitting on the throne above them all.
"Hortator! Many apologies for this interruption", he knelt to the Hortator, although his House held no place on the council, they had been trying for one for years now, and any healthy behaviour may be looked kind upon, "Would it be rude to ask; is this where I am supposed to be?".
Denemus got up from his kneeling position and moved forward a little to join the main group, his breathing was deep and gravelly. He was thinking to himself, 'Why would the damn Hortator want me? Don't get ahead of yourself though', he looked up to the Hortator, 'You might be in the wrong room'.

Danasi regarded the rag-tag group of warriors that stood before her. "You shall all be paid handsomely for your service," she assured them, "wealth beyond measure shall be yours if you see this through."
As Denemus stumbled into the Chamber she gave him a bemused look, "Denemus of the House of Sathil," she concluded, "Yes, I believe it is."

Spoiler:
He shook about awkwardly as the heat of the indoors started to make him sweat under his furs. He looked round the room at the others, one was wearing some form of bonemold, in a different design to his shield. Another looked much like one of the ashlanders he was told about as a youth. Two dunmer were standing rather close to each other, one was clearly an Ordinator, and the other was wearing extravagant robes, possibly a councilor. The final one was a khajiit, Denemus had only ever seen two before this in his entire life, and both of them were the members of the same caravan.
This khajiit seemed different, he bore the symbol of the Skaal, maybe this khajiit could become a friend to Denemus if they were to talk with each other on the up-coming journey.

K'yor noticed the new arrival's scrutiny and gave a slight nod, he had had some dealings with House Sathil in the past, but mostly over minor problems with the wildlife or spriggans.

Re: Morrowind 4E166
Denemus nodded towards the khajiit at acknowledgement, he looked strong, he looked like warrior, his battleaxe was enough to suggest this. He knew that most Skaal warriors were powerful, and the image of this khajiit mirrored this into his mind.
He proceeded to pull his wolfish hood down. He brushed his hand over his hair, then down over the draugr tattooed on his face. He shook about a bit to loosen his armour.

Denemus managed to hold in a chuckle that was about to work it's way out, as he was bemused at the behaviour of the ashlander. Instead he smirked at her.

Re: Morrowind 4E166
K'yor snickered and decided someone needed to show the late comer some kindness, "Well met, friend, you are just in time to find out why we've been summonsed."
He approached the Dunmer for a handshake, "K'yor, do not let my appearance fool you, I am Skaal at heart," when he was closer he whispered,
"Do not worry, I get the feeling she treats everyone like that, but throw a few gold at her and she may use her tongue for more then bitters."

Re: Morrowind 4E166
Denemus took the khajiit's hand and shook it firmly, "A khajiiti Skaal, now I have seen everything, it's good to have someone of a friendly disposition so close, nice to meet you K'yor, I am Denemus, of House Sathil, although I am sure you heard the Hortator mention this", Denemus looked past K'yor at Maera, "Yes, I get the feeling that may just be her attitude, although I don't understand this reference to her gold-lust".

K'yor laughed lightly, "So I hear often, but all I've known is the Skaal,"
"As for her, it's better that you don't, not every venture should be about material possessions,"

"I may be the holder of my own claim, yet I would trade it all for my house to be able to claim a place on the council, material possessions mean little to me", he shook his armour about, "I hope that my first opinion of the ashlander's won't be tarred by her attitude", he kept looking past the khajiit towards the ashlander, he smirked again.

Maera gave him a friendly smile. "He doesn't seem like a bad sort." She said to her fellow Ashlander.

Re: Morrowind 4E166
Denal observed the others. Skaal and ashlanders seemed to make up the group, save him. He was facing an unknown, and he hoped he didn't mess anything up.
