Re: Dragon Age: Origins
The developers have confirmed that we will get to go to Orlais and Tevinter. I was especially pleased by that, as a nation like Tevinter has the mysteriousness, pompousness and arcane obsession that would make it so interesting to visit.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
Rumours are that it will be released sometime in 2012. This is good, as it means this time they are giving themselves sufficient time to develop it. They made DAII less than a year after DAO. This time round, they have given themselves 2 years. I'm optimistic about what will be produced.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
DA:O; phenomenal game, etc. My main playthru party was the PC (Bloodmage/Spirit Heals), Alistar tank, Wynne heals/control, and Leliana for traps and chests. Bloodmage is especially fun: there's something irresistible about walking that fine line between ultimate power and being lost forever.
DA II: I really liked it. Aveline and Isabela are interesting characters, and their party banter is the tops. I was so attracted to Isabela and the challenge of controlling her... both inside and outside of combat.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I wonder if DA3 will allow you to pick races like in Origins and not stuck to humans like da2
Re: Dragon Age: Origins
It better, I missed playing as an axe wielding Dwarf Rogue in DA2, Varric was cool but it wasn't the same. Wouldn't mind giving a Quannri PC a go.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I've played every single origin there.
My favorite combo is...
Dalish Elf Dual Wielding/Massive Armor wearing Duelist/Ranger/Legionnare Scout. Yeah, that's right. I use massive armor on my rogue. XD I used Alistair, Zevran, and Oghren. (I would use a mage, but I detest Wynne and I like Zev/Oghren/Alistair way too much to NOT use them.)
I used to romance Leliana, but I realized that I didn't really like either of the female love interests. So that ended pretty quick.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
Never been a huge fan of Bioware's romance options, always wonder what they left out to fit it in, so only really pursue them to unlock the achievements. I'm hoping that DA3 has less followers than DA:O and DA2 max of 3 so they can give them all more depth. Maybe they could do something like an origins mission for each follower along with making more loyalty missions.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
The only character that is worth having an affair in DA:O is Morrigan imo.
Alistair didn't catch the meaning of "boys don't cry".
Leliana is so sweet that it gets annoying in seconds.
Zevran is too easy. Guy is like a pimp...

I thought the Alistair romance was adorable.
And in all honesty, besides the blood magic thing, Merrill was adorable too. Trying out Isabella's too.

Thought that Isabella as a romance is quite funny but only for the music.

Isabella is just like Zevran. Too easy. Both characters seems to have a "bed only" mentality.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
So far, I just think that all out of the romances in the Dragon Age series, I have to rank them, from best to worst;
-Alistair romance at the top. This was adorable, even from a straight male perspective.
-Merrill romance next, even though the 'I LARB YOO' line was a little cringe-worthy.
-I actually really liked the Zevran romance. Yeah, the man likes getting into bed, but I liked how it became about more than that.
-Morrigan romance next, which was like Zevran's. Even though I kind of detest Morrigan, the romance made sense. I liked her attitude change near the end of it.
-Anders romance (from a female Hawke perspective), I suppose. It's a little annoying how you can't turn him down without a hit to friendship though.
-Isabela's is alright so far. It's a lot more bed-only than Zevran... though I still haven't seen all of it, so my rankings might change once I decide to pop DA2 back in.
-Leliana's was good at a first glance, but after I did it again, I realized how much I just didn't like Leliana and how plain the romance was.
-Fenris. Ugh. The character annoys me enough because he's complete fanservice for the wants-every-character-to-be-a-Sephiroth-clone clone, but his romance was even worse. Biggest case of a Mary Sue I've ever seen in a Bioware game, I'm sad to say.
-Sebastian's is at the bottom because it's not even a real romance. Twas pretty lame.
Comparing these to the fantastic romances of Mass Effect, it's a little disappointing, really.

I'm not saying that Zevran's and Isabela's romances were bad. It's just that they're too shallow, you know.

Sebastian's a DLC party member in DA2. Vengeful priest/super dedicated chantry boot-licker. If Hawke isn't a rogue, he's the ONLY party member who can use a bow.

Re: Dragon Age: Origins
But Fenris makes up for it in Character.
Loved his scenes.
Plus, I switched everyone around, so i ended up using everyone in different combinations. This way, i got everyone's dialogue on certain situations, and the inter character dialogue.

Bioware have announced that DA3 will be delayed as most of the team developing it have been moved to work on The Old Republic.

DA3 being delayed is only a good thing. It makes sure it's...somewhat more thought through and doesn't end up another ME3.
