Well, not really, It's the only bow that doesn't need arrows.

How much does it cost to recharge after that?

Rune arrows cost a pretty penny, and since you'd need those to keep up with the damage of a crystal bow... yeah. Anyway it really depends on how many shots you get. If you get 1000 shots or more per charge, then it's DEFINITELY a good deal. Rune arrows cost like 1k each right? Something ridiculous like that anyway.

Because the best bows non-members can use (maple) can only use up to adamant arrows.

Only Yews,Magics, and Dark bows (Am I missing any?) Can fire rune arrows, also, they aren't worth 1k each! more like 700-900 each...

I said something ridiculous like that, I didn't say exactly 1k. Now answer my question about how many times you can use a crystal bow before recharging it. :Twisted Evil: By how many times I mean how many shots can it fire.

1000 shots I think. You might want to look it up on runehq or the knowledge base.

100k?HOW???!!!!!

aniways,got some info:
The Crystal bow 2/10 is the one obtained as a Roving Elves quest reward. The 2/10 indicates that it is partly used equipment, having only 500 free shots left on it (no ammo required). It deteriorates at that time to a Crystal seed which can be recharged by the elf Ilfeen for a fee. The fee starts at 900K (same price as buying new from other elves) and reduces each time you recharge, but she will not go below 180k.

The Crystal bow full (10/10) has 2500 free shots. It goes down with 250 shots every time it degrades. Cannot be High or low Alched. This item can only be traded if it has not been used at all. Using the crystal bow even once renders it untradeable.
some that didn't make sense to me.....but 2500 shots is pretty good and it goes downin price to recharge

Might wanna delete your second post thar mate'ee.

Anyway, yeah it goes down in cost every time you recharge because the number of possible shots ALSO goes down every time you recharge. Yet another reason that I never plan to use it if I ever get it.

Fishing rocks... I may need to do some for the dragon slayer quest, lol. I'm down to 3 lobsters, and I'm thinking I want more than that just to be safe.

As for how to delete, when you look at your own post while logged in, there's the quote button as usual, then the edit button next to it, then there's an x button next to the edit button. The x deletes the post.

Now I just need to get to a computer that I can play RS on so I can finish that monster of a quest.

I think that dark bow is better than the crystal bow. You can choose how much each shot costs by loading in any type of ammo that you want. You don't have to be forced to use ammo that costs like 100 each. But the crystal bow is really accurate.

Well I'm not a member, so I don't get to have anything. :(

Now... why did they make the dragon slayer quest so tedious? :( I know it's definitely not as long as some member quests but still... for us non-member nubs... yeesh.

Don't even get me started on annoying tedious quests! I don't really do quests because they are so annoying.

If you are lvl 50 it should not be too big of a problem. But you have to know what to bring with you to fight him.

When I quit, I was level 71 with a cannon, full rune, a dragon helmet (which was worth 6 times the sword I traded for it) I had 73 mining, 65 smithing and all I did was hunt the giant mole with a couple of friends.
