hello its me again
well im now at level 5, and i did kvatch and i went into another gate to get one of those fancy transcendent sigil stones, but i didnt get one i got a subjacent sigil stone. that kinda upset me. do i have to get to a certain level to get those? and all this talk about the game getting harder as you go. it took me 3 hours, and all the potion money can buy to get me through that gate and i was only fighting scamps and what i guess was low level dremora, occasionally 2 or 3 at a time.it got pretty bad. when i finally got to the top i had barely any life left. but its over now. after that i went for a walk out through the wilderness and my horse got killed by something. so i will reload from before i started walking the next time i play .

According to the Wiki you gets Transcendent Sigil Stones from level 17 onwards.
Make sure that you keep working on all your skills that you will use to survive (things like Blade, Bow, Sneak and Restoration) and it shouldn't be too bad. With my first char, I closed the first gate somewhere around level 2. It involved alot of waitin around for my Magicka to regen so I could heal myself, getting the baddies to impale themselves wherever poss, and simply outrunning the final one to get to the Sigil Stone before he could get to me.
With my current char I closed the first gate at level 23 and this time I could def take them all on and win. Don't know what it would be like to try it during the terrible teens though.

well i wasnt doing the main quest
i just wanted the stones so i went looking for gates after i saw you all talking about them i wanted a couple ya know so i could enchant some stuff real nice. thanks for the new info . ill stay out fo there for a while lol.

Even though you didn't get the top of the line stones, you still got good ones in relation to your level and the creatures you're encountering. So put them to good use and when you get to be higher levels, you can find better stones and enchant other items with them.
