Agreed. The next hero shouldn't be training in the way of the voice or be the Dragonborn. Shouts can easily be replaced by special spells and depending on the province the game is set in, could be like a treasure hunt, tied with a big quest or even the main quest. Like if TES:VI is set in Summerset Isles, we could find Psjic spell books that give us powers like shouts did in TES:V.ArgonianDunmer wrote:I would be disappointed if TES:VI included Dragon Shouts and Dragons in the same vein of Skyrim. All I'll say for the time being.

There is an infinite number of alternate universes, which means all books are non-fiction.

Re: TES:VI
I don't know about that, shouts were very useful IMO and they added the element I thought would be missing in this game.
For a while I wanted to see some sort of ancient musket or rifle to use as a secondary weapon to weaken enemy's or take out some of their health. And for me I feel like shouts added that element of a quick weapon, that even a warrior could use, despite the fact that they disregard magic.
It added a whole new layer to combat, and if they take it out, it better be replaced with something as equally fun/useful or better.

Re: TES:VI
My ideal for VI would be Black Marsh/southern Morrowind, with the backdrop of the Argonian/Dunmer conflict. Both races have fascinating cultures and would be a change in pace from the feel of the last couple of games.

Exactly what I wanted to type.
What makes TES awesome is the different heroes to different races in different ages with different threats.
