"I think..." Leiden breathed heavily, taking his sword from Qa'Mhirr. "That's the last of them..." He sat down, burying his hands in his face. "This is all my fault. I'm sorry for getting you all into this." At that point, Boethiah's voice filled the arena again. "Well, well, well." She said, sounding genuinely surprised. "Our champions prevail... for now. In ten minutes time, the next round will come. My enemy, Molag Bal, has a fondness for vampires... and vampires have a fondness for flesh." She said. "I hope you brought garlic." She laughed, and the voice disappeared again.

"Don't be sorry, this is finally fun!" Qa'Mhirr laughed, "Now we get to fight for the pleasure, not for some moral reasons!"
"And we may die as all should, hunting," he paused to look around for a second, "Vampires, khajiit wonders what will be the last challenge if we're fighting these bloodsuckers so early."

"I imagine Boethiah will want a piece of us..." He said, still on the floor. "Anyone have a plan?" He asked.

"Plan? This is the dro-m'Athra we're talking about," Qa'Mhirr stated flatly, "We're in her world, our survival is only secured if we play well."
"If we amuse her, she may let us go, but we're fighting regardless."

"Yes, no plan is going to work in this..." Llarays said, breathing deeply. "We'll just have to fight, and with out instincts."

"Wait a second..." He said. "Qa'Mhirr, that's brilliant!" He yelled. "These people don't want death, they want entertainment. If we entertain Boethiah, she'll let us go!" He hopped to his feet, reinvigorated. "We have to do this... colorfully. Lots of blood - not quickly, not slowly, and with lots of flourish. If we kill them quickly, they'll kill us quickly. We need to make them love us."

"So all glamour and no skill?" Llarays asked, nodding. "I guess we injure them a lot, and do entertaining strokes."

"It'll be like Senchal all over again!" Qa'Mhirr clapped excitedly, "Grand displays of acrobatics and street performances overshadowing the death!"
Qa'Mhirr locked his crossbow, loading another bolt, tying down his quiver tightly, and threw his bag back towards the nearby wall they had enter from, "Big explosions and chunks of flesh without the skooma addicts, coming up!"

Spoiler:
Woah i missed alot, sorry i haven't posted, I've been with my family for Easter :/
Night-Runner rolled over in his nice soft bed, a large grin on his face. He hadn't been this comfortable in a long time. He open his mouth in a yawn and had it filled with sand and gravel. He sat up suddenly spluttering and coughing. He looked frantically around him to see his five companions sitting on the ground a short distance away. They looked worn and haggard, as if they had just walked through a harsh desert. His mouth dropped open in amazement. He was more astonished than he'd been in all his life.

"Am i.." "Is this.." He trailed off, his words catching in his throat. His equipment was in a pile a short distance away from him. He walked over to it and began to arm himself quickly. He strapped on his leather armour and attached the bonemould overlay. "This is a dream." He thought to himself. He buckled on his belt and pulled on his boots. "it has to be a dream." He said to himself again, more uncertainly this time. He sheathed his sword and swung it over his back. "It feels so real, so lifelike." He strapped his shield to his arm, it felt real. He picked up his spear it felt very real.

He turned to his companions. They looked scared, very scared. He was terrified, and for the first time he noticed the walls, the spectators. He fell to his knees, trembling. It WAS real and he was going to die.

"Night-Runner!" He said, with genuine delight. "Get up. Get your stuff. And get ready. We're about to be attacked. Just follow our lead and we might get out of this alive.

Llarays nocked an arrow. He then put his bag against the wall, taking a bottle of wine out, and a piece of meat too.

"Wha.." "Whu..?" Night-Runner stammered, still very confused "Vampires...? What?". He gripped his spear more tightly and began to grind his teeth. He was still confused as to what was going on, and was still certain, for some reason that he couldn't explain, that he was about to die.

"Vampires." Thoryn muttered, somewhat stunned, "Boethiah, utilising the foul creations of Bal? Fire. We need fire ... and sunlight. Magic, and the Saint's blessing."

Spoiler:
10 Vampires. Each vampire requires a roll of 32 to kill outright, with a roll of 30 being sufficient to wound significantly (at which stage any roll will kill), and 40 to kill two. The survival roll is 27. Failure to roll a 20 will end up with the roller being infected, at which stage they will need a healing roll of 40 to be cured, or will succumb to vampirism. Healing rolls remain the same
"We need swords, and to be quick. I'm not about to become a blood sucker, but so long as they don't bite you, we'll be fine." At that point, the gates started to open again. Again, the crowd went silent. Leiden looked around the arena, and this time, hid his fear. He raised his arms. "C'MON!" He yelled to the crowd. The crowd started screaming, egging the group on, as the snarling, vampires charged out of their hole, and straight at the fresh meat in front of the. This time, Leiden held his ground, waiting for them to charge them before...
Spoiler:
40
side stepping out of the way, slashing at the neck of a vampire that had charged directly at him. Kicking it onto it's knees, he decapitated it, and threw the head at the feet of the other vampires, they snarled, and charged right at them. He slid to the ground, slicing straight up through the vampire.

43 - hell yeah! And that was with a one ... and four sixes

Thoryn swung his blade viciously and cast a firebolt at one of the advancing vampires. The beast hissed as it was engulfed in flames, burning to a cinder before the group. Before the smoke and the smell of burning flesh could clear, Thoryn had leapt through the flames, and was upon the next of his foes, cleaving it's head from it's shoulders, as the undead killer's body slumped, it's undeath at an end.

41...I'm not complaining with my luck, but the number 6 really likes me...
"Q'Mhirr thought you wanted entertainment!" the khajiit said as he rushed forward towards a pair a vampires, skidding beneath their legs and climbing up the back of the one in the rear.
He jumped onto the vampire's back, using his left paw to ignite one shoulder and his mechanical hand surged with electricity into the other causing the undead to convulse in place.
Lithely, Qa'Mhirr did a hand stand on wounded vampire's shoulders and leapt off, landing on the other one's back; "Jo-rawlith," he whispered to himself as he drove hand his left paw into its back.
Kicked off and away from safety as the vampire collided into the previous one, now fully alight with flames; a second later both exploded in a rain of ash and blood.
The dagi-raht gave a theatrical bow to the crowd.

Spoiler:
Oh yeah. 51.
"Come on, teddy bear," Llarays said to one vampire. He kept on throwing insults at the vampire, when it was sufficiently mad, and charged, he ducked and used the vampire's momentum to throw him against the wall. When the vampire got up, front facing the wall, he punched it in the buttocks. Another one charged, and he jumped, making the vampire jump, and when Llarays landed, he sliced up. The vampire was effectively split in two, and blood splattered everywhere. The first vampire now got up with much noise, and without looking, Llarays threw his bloody sword back, impaling it on the vampire. He then signaled to the crowd.

Anyways, 36 - I thought I'd leave the last one for Veriax or Night-Runner :P

Thoryn sidestepped a rushing vampire and spun round to face it, he set his left hand alight and swung at the beast, delivering a brutal punch which was followed by the edge of his shield crashing into the monster's temple, breaking skin. The vampire was dazed by the blow, and in that moment Thoryn plunged his sword into it's chest, spinning wildly as he pulled the blade from his foe, blood spurting in an arc before him.

Spoiler:
Oh man, I always miss this cool stuff
Night-Runner was a proffesional soldier and thus found it odd that his body wouldn't let him move. Terror had gripped him and all he could do was stand defensively behind his companions, spear in hand.

"I'm not a coward" he said to himself as his friends cut through Vampires as if they were butter.

Thoryn returned to the others' side, "What foul beasts shall Boethiah unleash upon us next?" he wondered aloud, his voice gruff and hoarse.
