Chaurus
Does anyone know if Chaurus vary in colour? I've come across two metallic-blue~ish Chaurus under the Solitude, and I always thought that the were more of a black~ish hue.

Re: Chaurus
You probably have the same graphical glitch that my game does. It makes random objects in the game glow. Chaurus glow metallic blueish, burnt wood glows red, enchanting tables glow blue, windows glow white, and countless other things. Perfectly harmless, just annoying.

Re: Chaurus
Hmm...I was wondering about that, too, because wood-pieces in Helgen glow a fiery-red in my game. I always thought it was cause a dragon had returned, or something, but guess not now.

There's a mod that fixes those issues on Steam, so a fix from Bethesda within the next couple of patches isn't out of the question.

Yes, I have experienced the same glow-glitch. The only time it irks me is when it affects the enchanter's tables, though. It looks so...wrong.

Re: Chaurus
Spriggans, Arcane Enchanters, Taproot, and Chaurus . . . they all seem to glow sometimes. This has happened a lot less lately, but has been the only major bug I've experienced in the game.

It sometimes changes colour to a very strange gray with a slight glow.

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but what's the plural of Chaurus? Is it also Chaurus? Maybe Chauruses?

It's like the word 'Sheep' I think, but it's never stated in game so it might be a matter of saying what sounds right to you.OblivionDuruza wrote:Not to hijack the thread or anything, but what's the plural of Chaurus? Is it also Chaurus? Maybe Chauruses?

And I don't think the plural of "Charus" is "sheep". [/clueless]

There is a reference to the Falmer ingame in which the word "Chaurus" is used for the plural.

In regards to the glowing glitch, no matter which of my characters I play as, my Hide Helmet(s) glow in the equipment menu as if they are enchanted.

Re: Chaurus
The plural of Chaurus is more Chaurus, or an even more annoying time, depending on how you want to look at it.

Well, I mean all mentions of Chaurus on the wiki use "Chaurus" as the plural form.OblivionDuruza wrote:Not to hijack the thread or anything, but what's the plural of Chaurus? Is it also Chaurus? Maybe Chauruses?

Re: Chaurus
I had been leaning towards Chaurus myself, it's good to know that there is actually some Lore which confirms this Merfis

I would have given the exact source but for the life of me I can't rememberOblivionDuruza wrote:I had been leaning towards Chaurus myself, it's good to know that there is actually some Lore which confirms this Merfis.
It mentions the fact that they breed the Chaurus for their meat and to use their exo-skelet for armour and weapons.
Come to think of it, I might have seen this in a loading screen also so thats 2 ingame clarifications.

God, even after level forty, it's still challenging to take on even two or three Chaurus Reapers, leave aside the band of Falmer Shadowmasters baying for my blood.
