yea, that would be great if you were fighting vampiresErgukrael wrote:It would be nice if you could use the torch as a weapon. Blunt 1 + fire damage.
What would you change about Oblivion?

I've always wanted to see what Kvatch looked like before the Daedra attacked. Its great to see that someone else agrees....
But I personally think that Bethesda was lazy....because apparently Kvatch had the only other arena outside the Imperial City in Cyrodiil. They could have included one somewhere else, for like training before you go into the arena

Ok. This is what I'd change about Oblivion:
1. Bring back Morrowind Inventory (tiled, I have a mod to do this)
2. Bring back PROPER enchanting that you can do yourself
3. Weild anything, put encumbrance right down so that you have to be selective, either miss out on a little bit of armour or pick up a weapon when you get there (it would be so awesome to kll someone with their own broom)
4. Bring back cast on use for rings and amulets, they are much more useful than people say.
5. More quests, make the guilds longer, I got arch-mage in about 14 hours of play (first time)
6. More guilds.
Basically, I prefer Morrowind to Oblivion, if it were more like Morrowind, it would be better IMO. Although, not being able to make potions with ingredients you can't identify is more realistic.

Or at least some more cool spell effects then damage . . . Like being able to freeze some one in place with a frost spell, or have heavy, metal, armour have a higher weakness to shock, or have fire melt armour if magnitude is strong enough . . .Celestial Wurm wrote:The biggest change I would like for the next Elder Scrolls would be some more elements. Being able to make weapons/armour with raw matirials would be cool as well . . .

Melting of Armor would be a nice addon to fire, I can't believe I didn't think of that!Fajita! wrote:Or at least some more cool spell effects then damage . . . But really being able to freeze them, like in Midas' magic (not sure if I spelled that right again . . .)
And frost spells make armour brittle, so they break faster

I don't want them to bring encumburnce down as I like to carry a nice selection of weapons with me. The blunt ones always weigh a ton but I like to have them for the skeletons. Plus at the mo I'm building my blunt and h2h up but if I get in a bit of trouble I just pull Umbra or Dawn/Duskfang out. Need to have a bow with a good selection of arrows too. I wish there was a way to get the staff of corruption back after the storage place I put it in respawned.
I've thought before that I would like it to be online but then hundreds or thousands of people would e constantly nicking your stuff all the time and it would turn into a constant battle. But it would be great for say all of us to be able to meet up online with our charachters and have team battles or team quests and to be able to talk through headsets would be cool.
Like Toymachine said though I would defo like more quests with Kvatch. But then I want more quests in general really. If they spent more time creating more expansion packs for Oblivion they would make shed loads of money and I would be more than happy to buy them if they were reasonaly priced

We're talking about vanilla though.Fajita! wrote: There are several mods that fix this . . .
How about the ability to join evil factions? Such as, actually become a Bandit, Necromancer, Marauder, etc.
I'm not sure if this was posted yet or not (I haven't been keeping up much), but, I would greatly love to be able to put multiple enchantments on Robes, instead of just one. You should be able to place three enchantments on a Robe (the three being Cuirass, Gauntlets, and Greaves).
