I've been taking a break from this for a bit, but I think we should get the Crusades going full-swing. I need a sudden in-flux of troops though, or it won't be much of a war.

I mean something like using some money, or something else to have better troops, increase the number, or to invest on ships. Actually war is only random fight, where all you can do is to decide how many soldiers sent.

I was thinking about that... Everyone has 9 cities(I have ten) so I was thinking of rearranging troops. 1 city equals 500 troops. Normal troops. Or you can get 500 archers, 200 heavy troops or 10 catapults.

"Put him in the dungeons," said Azeem, waving his hand. "Make sure he's treated well." He turned to his lieutenant. "You're in charge here until I find a new caliph."

The sultan walked up to Korba. "My thanks for your support, my good Korba. As I suspected, this caliph was receiving support from Europe. We must prepare. The war is coming."

"We shall meet at the Strait of Gibraltar in two weeks' time," agreed Azeem, mounting his horse. "Peace be upon you, brother."

Another idea: Since over the years, cities expand, I would suggest that every half a century or so, you increase the number of troops each city can provide, and allow us to reassign divisions.
