Look children, it's a troll in it's natural environment. No, don't pet it, you may lose an arm. If it tries to tell you a riddle, just run away.

Uh huh. The mods wreck the entire forum, for laughs, and I'm the troll. Meta!
Right, that settles it. I'm going to have to revive that "Art of Trolling" thread, in order to set the record straight on the who, whats, and hows of a subject that people clearly know very little about.
But not right now. Right now we're honoring the season by discussing why Skyrim is the Best Elder Scrolls Game Ever.
Reason #37: Because five months in, and there's still no hope for a lag-free PS3 patch! Show those Sony fanboys what-for, Bethesda! Huzzah!

#12: Revolutionary Radiant Quest System
Pushing the frontiers of deep Choice and Consequence themed gameplay, Radiant quests offer virtually endless amounts of content in the form of relevant tasks and missions that will keep the player occupied scouring the landscape of Skyrim for months and months. While there are no immediate Consequences of failure, or of ignoring these quests altogether, immersive Consequences of completion include gold rewards or random magic items, all based upon the player character's experience level. The RQ system contributes to Skyrim's overall feeling of a living, breathing world that grows with and reacts to player Choices.

The OP should have been banned a long time ago in my opinion. And that's not an April Fool's post.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

#27. They added children.

Did we get a lot of new mods recently?

51: The Mindblowing Variety of dialouge of Skyrim
Oh Bethseda you have truly outdone yourself now. Gone are the days of irritating phrases being repeated over and over by NPC's as now each character will comment on your actions throughout the game, your skills or even your clothing! Who's heart doesn't soar with joy when you hear the hilarious line of "Break that lute across my knee..!" or ponder the socio-economic implications of "Do you get to the Cloud District very often?", which the game ingeniously reminds us of every 5 minutes.

While it's a troll thread, I am compelled to express my opinion of Morrowind's superiority over all other Elder Scrolls.

Re: 50 Reasons Why Skyrim is the Best Elder Scrolls Game Eve
Ah, yes, almost forgot about this thread!
We have discussed the things we loathe about Skyrim in painstaking detail a thousand times before...perhaps we can revisit in one thread? As much as I love a good Doros thread, well, you know. (Besides, if you go back to that thread, it's not even necroposting! So go forth and post!)
But, if you guys can be civil and have some legitimate fun as opposed to just being trolls - I mean, a good, healthy snark or discussion never hurt anyone - then I know we'd gladly leave this open. And so I'm not even going to lock it because I trust you to use your head. Let's revisit the thread mentioned above, perhaps; and in the meantime, figure out what to do here.
Anyone with any concerns, ideas, snarks, love letters, etc., you can gladly PM me. I accept all and I'm here all week!

43. Removing all stats in no way dumbs down the game.

Re: 50 Reasons Why Skyrim is the Best Elder Scrolls Game Eve
So what if Bethesda dumbed the game down a bit? They wanted to make it easier for new players to get into and they succeeded in doing so. Now there is a much smaller chance of screwing a character up, if choices weren't made wisely when a level was gained in oblivion there was no way to make up for it.Stormborn wrote:43. And sure there are a few less skills, but that was done because of the small (In the end) amount of perk points that are able to be earned. It's better to merge a few skills together so that the points can be spent on other things. Who would have actually dropped an entire main skill for the ability to jump on water or run slightly faster if Acrobatics and Athletics were still skills?

Yeah, only fifty? Skyrim outclasses every other video game ever made. Oblivion doesn't even hold a candle. Morrowind is one of the top three.

Re: 50 Reasons Why Skyrim is the Best Elder Scrolls Game Eve
Skyrim is fantastic. Oblivion, while no where near as good as Skyrim, is also fantastic. I have yet to decide if I like Morrowind or Skyrim more, but I'm sure that will change after the first DLC comes out.

Oblivion was my first TES, so it was more amazing to me than skyrim.

Re: 50 Reasons Why Skyrim is the Best Elder Scrolls Game Eve
I have a theory that people tend to think that the first Elder Scrolls game that they really play through thoroghly is going to be their favorite one.
I played Oblivion in and out, and finally decided to get Morrowind maybe 6 months before Skyrim came out. By then the game was so outdated that it was really hard to get into, despite recognizing why people liked it.
Skyrim I feel improves on Oblivion in a lot of ways, and you can't fully judge it until all of the pieces are released, but I have a certain nostalgic feeling when I think of Oblivion
