Fat + Alcohol. I can kill with a Zippo now.
In the old days, a 16-18 year old didn't have the body mass to handle a typical night out.
Nowadays, given the preponderance of fast food and lack of physical activity, teenagers are getting big enough to soak up what a 24-year old might have handled in the old days.
Facts like that make me glad I sort of miss the '90s.
There was a recent post on one of the Gawker blogs where a guy from Florida was jailed for dialling 911 to report his wife wouldn't stop looking over his shoulder while he surfed the net. This— after he fed her eight beers in order to put her to sleep.
The outrage over the seemingly heavy jail sentence, the issues about Internet privacy, and trying to time just how fast Bugs Bunny can saw off an entire peninsula— were not the things going through my head: I was wondering if this guy was married to a frickin' manatee. Eight beers? And she was still conscious? Yikes.

Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

Re: Drunkards Union
Depends on what kind of beer it was. It would take eight pee waters like Bud Light just to get me buzzing. And if this supposed binge was over a time frame of two to three hours - fuggedaboutit.

Re: Drunkards Union
Beer is about as potent as water for me. However, there are some brands that do not mix well with me. Anything Mexican (Corona, etc.), Heineken, and, that's it...Its like drinking a bottle of instant rage.

I can't stand anything Light, the rage isn't beer related just light beer is horrible, its like having a light ciggerette, your left craving for about three more afterward

I COMPLETELY agree with you sidgreen, my first beer was a Yeungling (SPELLING>???!?#?!) Lager and having a light beer after that doesn't even compare.

Yuengling. And I agree completely, since that's me. Well I had a Rolling Rock technically as my first beer, but the first time I drank I had Yuengling, if that makes any sense.TiberSeptimsGrandma wrote:I COMPLETELY agree with you sidgreen, my first beer was a Yeungling (SPELLING>???!?#?!) And yes scrib, it makes perfect sense.
I don't know if anyone here enjoys vodka, but if you get the chance, try Pinnacle Whipped Cream flavored, it goes down so smooth and it tastes incredible. Also, try mixing any flavor of Smirnoff with seltzer water, amazing.

Second that! Also I find that Coca-Cola goes well with most spirits.

Does anyone else here enjoy rum as much as I do? After I'm drunk enough I put my leg on a chair, take a swig of rum, tell people I have scurvy, call women wenches, usual pirate activity.

Re: Drunkards Union
Contrary to your contrary. I cannot abide beer. Takes far too much effort (and space) for that stuff to ever deliver its advertised level of fun. It's not that I'm afraid of getting soused— I just don't want to explode after ingesting six frickin' pounds of watered bread.TiberSeptimsGrandma wrote:Quite the contrary, actually...FrostMage79x wrote:Eight beers? Gimme the hard stuff any day. It'll be like Nepal all over again. God, I miss the 90's.

Nah, beer is a chilled relaxed drunk you can keep a tab on, shots can lead to one too many way too quick

Or a few shots to start you off, then some beers to wash 'em down.
Liquor before beer, you're in the clear.

Yea I can keep it together even after 8-10 or (very rarely) more beers ...but hard liquor? That's when the Madness comes around.

Re: Drunkards Union
I don't really enjoy mixing the two, like if I wanna go have fun and who whatever I want I'll go get drunk, and if i wanna experience something with a new angle or just chill out, I'll get high, but the two mixed just clash very oddly for me. I only enjoyed it once when I smoked, then came to party and as I was coming down from my high I was starting to get drunk, that made me feel nice.

I don't normally drink vodka (I take gin instead) but someone gave me a bottle of the Pinnacle Vanilla for Christmas. The stuff was great just strait out of the bottle
