Most Unholy your are most correct. You need his staff to get your stuff back and the Sanguine Rose is the key to the chest behind the worship bench.

OK

Marching began, from out of a nightmare
Killing and raising, mindless servants
Killing and Killing no mercy was shown
The hammer fell but I dodged quite a blow
taking some in killing the rest
Moving deeper and deeper more and more was mine
Killing blow was struck on a rock
high like a mountain, united as one

and:

Sunrise of daedra my ultimate goal
spawn of the spawn of hell
I do my works more secretly than he
mystery book of Immortal descent?
my text, my book of holiness protect
deep in darkness, rocks all around
followers believe that heaven awaits
hell is given death gives no freedom
for what has happened once can not happen again

Who are we?

Mannimarco and Mehrunes Dagon?

"Killing and raising Mindless servants" and the mention of a mountain sounds like one of the books that talked of Mannimarco.

Mention of a book over and over sounds like Mehrunes Dagon.

*sighs* Okay I know this is wrong but I want to give a final guess. This is possibly the one riddle that I might never get, due to it most likely being from a book, and I don't remember some.

Nerevar and Mankar Camoran?

Really you won't believe how MANY times I thought of saying him but I just said nah until I thought of giving it a go. Two Camorans though, yeah I would have thought someone else though. Anyway give me some time and I'll get a riddle up.

Okay here it is.

The fighters earliest problem
neither creature or spirit
drains you dry, while it glides or flies
mundane iron can't harm it yet through magics it can be as ash
survive you may, but be warned it may not be as clear as day.

What am I?

Yes this may not sound familiar but trust me it is the thing. It'll make sense when you figure it out. If not tell me and I'll explain it.

Ah! Vampires! The Ash part makes sense, plus the part about iron not harming it, considering the fact that they have normal weapon resitance.
...and diplomacy continues to fail. Their ears fall deaf, and their eyes fall blind, yet they are still not mute. They will not know their errors. Only what they believe themselves. But we... we shall not be silenced.

Yes though vampire is incorrect, I won't clarify or give a hint until some more people guess.

Will-o-the-wisps?
It's not clear whether they're spirits or creatures. You have to use something enchanted to kill them. Drains you dry is it's drain endurance spell. And erm.. the clear as day thing maybe it's turning invisible?
