Sooo..... Who's heard about the nasty new bug with the awesome new kill-cam patch? All CK modders are advised not to download the 1.5.24 patch because of a change to the record files that causes major errors and can corrupt your plug-ins. Niiiiiiiiiiiiice, Bethie.

I hope they fix the whole library of completed quests I still have in my journal and my broken word walls.
I would be a procrastinator, but I keep putting it off.

Like the CK wasn't buggy to the point of uselessness beforehand.

Because what Bethy will be releasing on consoles and PC will be the full, bug-tested version, not a hastily put together Beta.

Uh, no.

And Steam now downloaded Steam for everyone, which means there's going to be a slowdown in modding until Bethesda gets that one sorted out.

So will we not be able to use mods with the new patch? Or are we just unable to create our own mods?

No created mods, basically it change some stuff in the reference file that can result in SERIOUS corruption to plug-ins. Not good.

Played for the first time with the patch yesterday. It totally surprised me cause I didn't even notice steam downloading it. The first time I jumped in the water I was like "Woah woah woah, what happened, why does this look so good?" And then there's the new kill cams. I LOVE them. About time we got some for ranged combat cause it felt rather unfair that I could never see any of those while playing as my mage. :D
I haven't downloaded any mods so I haven't got any major problems so far.

Fixed - The 3 Instruments from the Bards College Quests do get removed now.

Not Fixed - The "Bring Dragon Bones and Scales to Esbern" Quest still does not clear after doing that quest.

Not Fixed - Farkas does not offer any more jobs.

Broken - Now Vilkas does not offer any more jobs.

@ Gideon: Any link(s) to the CK issue. I have not seen it anywhere, and you are the only one to mention it.

BTW, I did also get a CK update later as well as the 1.5 patch. Maybe that addressed those issues?

Bethesda Forums

From the Creation Kit Steam Group Page, by the Administrator:
If you are working in the CK, it is recommended not to update to Beta Patch 1.5.24.0.5

There was a change in format for one of the record types that results in severe errors that can corrupt your plugin file when you open and save it in the CK.

MASTERFILE: GameSetting 'fTemperingSkillUseItemValConst' in file 'Update.esm' is not recognized by the current EXE.
MASTERFILE: GameSetting 'fTemperingSkillUseItemValExp' in file 'Update.esm' is not recognized by the current EXE.
MASTERFILE: GameSetting 'fTemperingSkillUseItemValMult' in file 'Update.esm' is not recognized by the current EXE.
MASTERFILE: GameSetting 'fConstructibleSkillUseConst' in file 'Update.esm' is not recognized by the current EXE.
MASTERFILE: GameSetting 'fConstructibleSkilluseExp' in file 'Update.esm' is not recognized by the current EXE.
MASTERFILE: GameSetting 'fConstructibleSkillUseMult' in file 'Update.esm' is not recognized by the current EXE.
MASTERFILE: GameSetting 'sInvalidTagString' in file 'Update.esm' is not recognized by the current EXE.
FORMS: Chunk size 44 too big in chunk DATA_ID in form CAMS_ID (0010C75B).
Max size is 40, data truncated to "".

If you have already saved your plugin after updating to 1.5 Beta, it is recommended to revert to an earlier save and roll back to 1.4 if you want to work in the Creation Kit.

I thought that was a recurring quest— so long as you keep giving him the ingredients, he'll make you another potion. Sort of like Sinderion giving you Elixirs of Exploration in Oblivion even after you've collected the first 100 Nirnroot.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

It is not recuring, as I never have had the option with him, to give him more bones and scales.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Dragon_Research

It was not broken since patch 1.5, it has been broken since the game was released.

The Blessing is recuring, since it only lasts for 5 days.

The "Bones & Scales" is a one time deal, after you get the potion. The problem is that the quest doesn't update. You can remove it with console commands, by forcing the setstage to end it.
