join the Blades?

Oblivion xbox360 with all official patches as far as I know.

I used Martin as a follower and then jauffre for a while, before i finally brought them safely to the Blades temple. I have progressed through the main quest to getting Martin's 4 items, but Jauffre has never offered me membership in the blades.

The wiki suggests he might not like me if i have ever hit him. I can't remember if this has ever happened in heat of battle. It suggests improving his disposition, but I can't see a way of accessing the speechcraft game, and I have cast charm spells with a total of 80 charm on him, he still never comes up with the topic of joining blades.

Any ideas? Not vital, but would be nice to have all the bits and pieces for my character :) I only noticed long after getting them home so cannot go back to old save :(

You should be able to join the blades as soon as martin gets there. Talk to martin about everything he has in the talk thing. then talk to jauffre and he should ask you to join them.

If you have acsess to the Arcane University, you can use the spell-making alters to make a charm 100 points spell for 1 seacond, use it on him, and see if the option is there...
If it doesn't then i dont know what to tell you...i have not had this problem.

If you dont hace access...then what are you standing there for!!! do the recomendations!!!

I loaded an old save from when we just arrived at cloud temple - it doesn't work, the topic never comes up. Meh, I don't care, I've gotten to theend of the main quest and I can't see jauffre or baurus so i reckon they died (i did try and keep them alive with KOTN blessings of the 9).
