Valediction
Come here, Uncle John's Band, by the riverside. Come on along or go alone, he's come to take his children home.
A box of rain will ease the pain, and love will see you through.
Goodbye.

It wasn't just that, it just seems that everything I said he disagreed with and replied with some sarcastic quip and a YouTube link. And yes, his constant slagging off of Radiohead did jump on my mushrooms a lot. Besides, as leroybrown and Tourist will tell you, if you don't like Radiohead you don't like music.Deandra wrote:Yeah, I can tell that you take your music very seriouslyr wrote:Hmm, me and Doros never really... saw eye to eye...

I liked Doros, as one of the few around here who ever went toe to toe with me and my Walls of Text. So, if I could like him - through his hatred of The Creator*, and apparently his dislike of the indomitable 'Head - that either means I'm a saint, or that Doros had character. I respected his zany views.
If I leave; A) no one will care. And B) I'll leave amidst a board-full post-storm of relgious, political, and pro-Morrowind text-walls (in the Ob board no less!), with plenty of tiresome Buffy/Firefly homages in between. Pff, cryptic goodbyes are so passe... I'd go out in style!

[ducks Weka's lunges & flees.. ]
Bruff; I really hope that was an ironic/sarcastic ":x", unless referencing comedic sterotypes is also against forum rules.
Esvedium; after I discovered Radiohead, I became moderately obsessed in my teens, then had about 4 years of acknowledging that they're just another stonkingly great band (Arcade Fire briefly drew alongside them). But post-In Rainbows, I've changed my mind again.. ever since the Beatles, there hasn't been a mainstream band that has been as intelligent, as kick-ass, as beautiful, as enduring, as truly forward thinking, and as fun as the big R.
So I've relapsed, abandoned all reason, and once again proclaim them to be The Last Greatest Hope of mankind. If the earth was under assault from a space-faring alien muso-civilisation, there's only one five-piece we'd sent out to save us; National Anthem into Paranoid Android into Idioteque - and the Earths total destruction would be averted.
[mimics the fuzz-bassline from Anthem; nrgh, nrgh-nrgh, n-nrgh nrgh-nrgh-nrgh!! etc... ]
Then - on their return journey - they'd lull the world back into peace with a version of House of Cards... aaaaand relax....
