Geez guys, sorry for being employed and not being able to spend every waking minute on here

The game has NOT officially started--I've got to type up a post 1st, and unfortunately my job title today is Professional Attender of Meetings.

[Deandra]

On a remote island in Iliac Bay lies a small fishing village with the name of Argentport. Normally, life in Argentport is peaceful, but last night, a violent storm battered the island. Villagers emerged the next morning to find that all of their fishing boats had been destroyed or set adrift, cutting them off from the mainland. Unusually high waves still crashed angrily on the shore, and the undertow was ready to drown any villagers foolhardy enough to try going for a swim. Overhead, a thick layer of dark clouds roiled in the sky.

Several villagers went to the home of their mayor, the Breton mage Deandra. Shrieks of horror filled the air as they discovered the mutilated remains of Deandra's corpse spread throughout the garden in front of her villa. Her limbs had been torn from her body, and all of the pieces they could find were covered in cuts and bruises. A heavy rope was still bound to one of her lifeless wrists. Her left leg was nowhere to be found. The horse in the stable neighed uneasily at the strong scent of blood in the air. Oddly enough, Deandra's large gray dog seemed uninterested in dog food when a sympathetic villager tried to feed him...

No matter where on the island they were, the inhabitants of Argentport all heard a booming roar that seemed to come from both the ground and the sky.

Pathetic mortal slaves! My three minions are among you! Nothing can save you from Molag Bal, the Lord of Domination! It is only a matter of time before the sins of the unworthy are washed in blood and only my followers remain.

Once the voice stopped, there was a stunned silence throughout the village. Then, a beam of sunlight broke through the cloud cover, and a calm female voice could be heard.

All is not lost. The worthy of Azura has been chosen to receive my gift of clear sight. Use it wisely, and you may still prevail.

Begin Day 1.

"Who could have done this?" murmured Gideon, quietly inspecting the carnage.

Rainbow smiled and danced about "a gift from Azura! Azura! a gift from Azura! blessed are we!" he said sniggering and ignoring Molag Bal.

Sheesh, I know who we're supposed to be lynching. But we want to pick a worshiper, no?

"I can't believe this is happening!" said Redja aloud. The redguard was almost throwing up at the sight of the brutality.

"Molag Bal's wrath is upon us, and our ruler is dead! On top of that our boats and ships are destroyed... We can't leave the island now! Oh Lady Azura, please protect us!"

[Kerr]

"With Azura herself aiding us all is not lost." said Kerr as he looked at the body of his fellow breton. "May she find more peace in the next life than she did in this one."

[Gideon Dragontongue]

"By Azura, this death shall not go unavenged!" said Gideon. "We must seek retribution! With Azura's guidance, surely we shall be able to detect the fiends who did this!"

[Eltee]

Eltee, a younger Nord sailor, stumbled to the town square. He had short, styleless black hair and an equally unruly black beard. "The docks!" He said frantically. "The docks and all the port's vessels, destroyed! And voices..." He caught sight of Deandra's horribly mutilated corpse. The voices in his head all of a sudden made an uncomfortable amount of sense. "Good gods." He said, eyes widening. "This is... It's horrible..."

[Per]

"Pfft," grumbled Per. "I never liked her anyway. Get over it."

[Kerr]

"That was rather cold. She was one of the few people with an interest in magic here. Now she's gone..." muttered Kerr. "What do we do now?"

[Red Guardian]

Redja turned around to face Kerr "You're... You're right. Azura will save us from the beasts who did it, I know she will."

[Per]

"Pfft," replied Per. "Magic's only ever caused problems. What we do? If we really have three murderers among us, we gotta find and kill them, obviously," said Per nonchalantly.

[Musicman247]

Music Man, who was a heavy sleeper, approached the scene.

"What...what happened? Did anyone else hear a voice in their head? What does this mean? Is it something we should dread?"

[Frost Mage]

"What a disgrace", murmured Frosty, shaking his head. "We must find the people who did this.

[Gideon Dragontongue]

"Molag Bal's disciples walk among us..." said Gideon. "No one is safe."

[Frost Mage]

"We have to do something, but we need the power of Azure to guide us."

[Gideon Dragontongue]

"We should find the one among us blessed by Azura!" said Gideon.

[Frost Mage]

"That we must... But how?"

"What a great trajedy this is! Our beloved leader, dead!
Who among us could have done such a thing? Should we...should we begin counting heads?"
