Longsword of Firestorm

So I found one with like 1,875 charges on it. I brought it to the weapons store and he said he would give me 18,000 gold for it. That's more money than i've ever seen before. I'm level 8 BattleMage. Do I need the sword? should I sell it. I'm pretty new at this game and 18,000 gold seems like a whole lot of gold.

Do you have skill in long sword?
IDR if battle mages had blade or blunt.
You dont need it, but it could help aginst some enemeys, there is one area where it will be useless.

yeah, battlemages can use any weapon. My PC has pretty nice weapon already, and has spells to use. I sold it simply because I figured I can use the money to buy better equipment.

Since youre a mage class its useless. You can cast a much more powerful firestorm yourself, and since the weapon is of mundane quality (i guess?) it wont be good for anything except using the firestorm ability.
