I understand, but I think AKB's ideas are just as great! You guys should know you're all appreciated every day, and if you want to find a way to say it, do what I do: shoot someone a PM when they say something or do something you think is great, and tell them why, and that you appreciate having them here on the forums. That way, people can feel the love...and sometimes love is better when it's quiet than broadcasted all over the place!

Besides, Raven is right. This is not very friendly to new users. We're all guilty, myself included, so let's find ways to appreciate people in our daily actions on the forum - every day, no matter who they are.

Okay. How long would it take to write a PM to every member?

Not to every member. It's a personal message. If you send a message to everyone, it's not personal anymore. If you feel like personally saying something to someone, no in is going to stop you. Likewise, no one will think less of you if you don't. Appreciation shouldn't be something that's constant or expected, it should be earned. While that may sound rude, it's true. If you don't earn it, it will either feel insincere, forced, or generic. While showing that you care is great, it isn't nowhere near as nice if you do the same for everyone.

Does the user with zero posts and hasn't logged in for years deserve it? Because if you think that they do, than I'll have to argue the point. If you think people deserve it, even if that is all of the regulars, than right them messages voicing your opinion on them. Otherwise, it'll just make people feel left out, or it'll feel forced.
