Favorite House
I definitely prefer my small cozy Cheydinhal abode
Chorrol house 1) is 3 separate zones, 2) uses the same layout as Hackdirt tavern (BAD memories!) 3) has no real "home" feeling. No kitchen, no good "office", a place to sit with friends and chat or something.
There once was a Prince named Mehrunes
Whose buttocks sounded sonorous tunes
‘Twas an odiferous song
People sang before long
They had enough of his full crescent moons.

Re: Favorite House
Anvil, without question. The 5,000 gold mansion is by far the BEST house in the game, nevermind the cheapest. I like that you can climb out of bed, go to your balcony and fast travel to anywhere in the map.Skyrim92 wrote:Which is a better place to live in, Cheydinhal or Chorrol?

My nord char Skade loves her Anvil home. Bruma is a good second as it fits with her role. She's rich, so she buys houses everywhere now. The Leyawiin one is an OK sports cabin and the Chorrol one is nice too, but she'd prefer a kitchen, dining area and study instead of the useless servants' quarters.
My Breton char Brigitte enjoys the Talos Manor that was owned by the late grave robber Agormir. For PC users there's a nice mod that lets you use the house as your own.

Chorrol, because you have easy proximity to all the guilds (I find Skingrad and others less visually obvious) and you have two great shops:
1. Rasheda who has 1200 gold
2. Khaljiit shopkeeper who LOVES you (800 gold)
Plus I find that the priest is nearly always there in the chapel, which is useful.
And it's a lovely house, with useful storage containers right near the door.

Skingrad's house is definitely the most extravagrant if you can afford it, plus you have so much display cases to fill up with whatever you want.
I left 2 Glass Battleaxes hanging over the ground floor fireplace; hopefully guest won't use them to settle disputes ... I like using Glass Weaponry for decoration I like the looks; Glass Armour, OTOH, looks like "Power Ranger Armour" as quoted from another guy on another forum.
But my personal favourite is Burma's cos it is simple and looks cosy (but I don't remember any fireplace).

The Bruma fireplace is a mod. You can have it if you're on PC.SupidSeep wrote:...But my personal favourite is Burma's cos it is simple and looks cosy (but I don't remember any fireplace).
