Character Creation Problem?

Post by thamoirthegreat »

When selecting my race no matter how much I click Imperial province I cannot be a Imperial, this goes for Arena as well. I am running the games on the most recent DOSBOX version on Windows XP. What is happening?

Imperials and Orcs are not playable in Daggerfall and Arena.

Aye, unfortunately the orcs don't become "friendly" enough to be a playable race until Morrowind. Although I've always wondered why Imperials weren't playable in Arena and Daggerfall.

Originally, Cyrodiil (or the Imperial Province) was supposed to be the central meeting ground of all the Empire's races but with no race of its own. With Morrowind, they added the Imperial race but lorewise they're basically a watered down version of the Nords. Haha, get it? Watered down, because Nords are like ice and... uh, forget it.
I got to thinking... maybe I'm the Prince of Destruction, and I just don't know it yet.

They are like Nords but I just like Imperials better, what do you think?

Bretons in Daggerfall are like the quintessential Imperial population. Most of the common folk aren't super-Magical, they're really just like a Medieval inspired community of serfs.
