"Over here." Michael said. A fire escape lead to a series of apartments. He climbed up the ladder, yelling for the others to follow.

Ash climbed the ladder after Michael.

Keith climbed up the ladder.

The group continued to move through the fire escape. A window was open, and Michael moved into it. Michael was obviously hesitant, but still moved into it. "Check everywhere, we need supplies." He said.

Aidan scrambled swiftly up the metal rungs and into the building. "Sure." He rummaged through drawers.

Keith went through the window, and looked around. "Man, I miss my buddy Daniel. One time, Daniel and I made fireworks. Now, I didn't know [&@%!] about chemistry, but Daniel figured 'Gasoline burns, doesn't it?' Heh, third-degree burns on 95 percent of his body. Man, people in the next city over were calling to complain about the smell of burning skin."

"I hope zombies can't climb." Muttered Aidan nervously.

Ash climbed into the building. "Is this really the best time for stories?" she asked Keith.

"Right, that's only one thing."

Ash went into a bathroom and looked around. "First aid kit!" she shouted.

"Good, we're gonna need that." He said simply.

"Found some crisps and some water."

[Sav]

"Okay. We can stay here for a while." It was beginning to get dark.

"Eh, sorry." Keith said to Ash. He then started rummaging around the room, looking for something to sleep on. He saw a set of drawers, and looked around inside. He found two small bottles of painkillers, and a candy bar. "Food and painkillers in this drawer over here." He said aloud.

"Right. I'll take the first guard watch. Keith, you have second watch." Michael said quiety. He moved over to the window, and waited.

"so... " started Sebastian"you newbie... What is your story? We all have one here... "

"Me? Well I'm from Denver. Worked as a chopper pilot for a company in the city. When it came to spare time well some people like football or skateboarding, me I was in the National Guard. Eventually there were people dying all over the place. I got out while I still could." said Ash in a melancholic manner.

"Will there ever be an end to this apocalypse?" Asked Aidan to no-one in particular.

"I reckon so. Not any day soon, even after that things won't be the same. Probably won't even be in our lifetimes but one day, one day." said Ash in a more joyful manner.

"Eh...I was headed up to visit my grandmother. I had just stopped by my buddy Daniel's house, 'cause he was living far away from here, and I wanted to go to my grandmother's house to see if she was still alive. Did I ever tell you about my buddy Daniel? Man, one time, my buddy Daniel was drivin' a boat with some girls in it, and he managed to fall out of the boat, right into the propeller. Man, Blade wounds over 50 percent of his body." Said Keith.

Keith went silent. He walked over to the window they came in on, and looked outside, looking for any zombies.
