"Ohhh... Not to be rude. But you are very wrong. We've pinpointed the pirate activity in our belt to one place. We've sent scouts and now they've gone offline. Also, on Asteroid-51, we found a pirate city. With casinos... and tanks. A few weeks ago, it was only skiffs. Now it's frigates and a Cruiser was sighted. I've got Dreadnoughts and Corvettes on stand-by for a large attack. Shall we link up?" Asked Joseph, sipping some wine.

"Sure." Ivan said calmly. "Expect a task force arriving at Eris within the week."

(okay, thanks. I'd still like to continue the battle, but without the ridiculous amount of pirates in ships they are unlikely to have, converging on a singe convoy. Without you swooping in to save the day. Make another post, but let's duke it out with what we have.

Perhaps have a few frigates arrive at the Kuiper debacle, and RP what the skiffs and 2 remaining frigates are doing in the Asteroid Belt.)

The Astrid began to fire on the remaining skiffs, still taking a beating from the pirate frigates. Inside, the marines were attempting to kill the pirate infantry.

[Eltee]

The Point Defence cannons on the Astrid suddenly opened up, immediately turning a Skiff into a mound of interstellar slag. Another was winged, sending it careening into the Frigate's hull, exploding but causing little damage.

The Barge was consantly dumping skiffs, which joined the attack on the Frigate.

The Pirates fought hard, holed up in the mess hall. The ship was pockmarked by scores of black laser burns. One by one, the pirates began to fall... But not without killing a large number of Marines.

In the Ceres debacle, things were just as bloody. The broken hulk of a destroyed frigate collided with an asteroid, causing a massive fireball.

The Jovian Corvette Ohi had taken massive damage, was leaking atmosphere, and escape pods were beggining to jettison off to be picked up by the Ashur. Unbelievably, the ship's mass of light lasers continued to pump lasers into it's attacker, a Frigate. The braver of the three freighters, a refitted and well armed Gogol class, was likewise exchanging firewith the maurader.

The 54'50, the other Corvette, was pursuing and occupying the skiffs, destroying one after another in waves of lasers bolts.

The other Pirate freighter was being assualted by the four tiny, nimble fighters, which periodically pumped rounds into vulnerable gun emplacements, and launched torpedoes. The Frigate wason the verge of falling apart.

FKBP Arnem, a Corvette, responded to Astrid's plea. It zoomed out of the blackness, opening fire on the barge.

(In the Asrid's case, I did it to your advantage, I assumed you wouldn't mind. In the Ceres debacle... You still haven't posted what your pirates are doing.)

A series of fires began to flare up along the Barge, it wasn't designed for war. However, it's huge size was stil worth something. Conventional 155mm cannons along the length of the great, long ship began to fire upon the Corvette.

The last of the pirates within the ship retreated to their Skiffs, firing their carbines as they desperately tried to escape. As they seperated from the Frigate, one was hit dead-on by a heavy laser, blowing it into smithereens. The other managet to (barely) escape.

The pirate skiffs regrouped around the larger ships and headed towards the Hadrian, opening fire.

The Corvette opened fire with a barrage of missiles, striking the engines.

Kuiper
The engines conked out, a few exploding, but in an altogether unspectacular manner. Some mechanic had thought fast and cut fuel to the engines.

The cannons on the Barge slowly ceased firing, as dozens of small transports and shuttles blasted off, abandoning the ship. The Skiffs broke off, fleeing.

Ceres
(Hadrian is a flight of four small fighters, less than 10 metres long. It is composed of Hadrian-One, Hadrian-Two, Hadrian-Three, and Hadrian-Four.)

The fighters had been designed to fight faster, more powerful and more resilient than the small skiffs. With extreme speed, they broke formation, spinning around the skiffs in complex patterns, firing accurate bursts from their laser cannons.

Meanwhile, the Ohi had positioned itself behind the fighters, shielding the less well armed freighters. The retrofitted Tyre and the 54'40 or Fight! quickly advanced through the space separating them from the pirate vessels, the Tyre's heavy weapons targeting the Frigates and the 54'40 bracketing in the Skiffs with rapid, accurate fire from it's point-defence guns, corralling them into Hadrian Flight's kill zone.

Some fighter pursued the shuttles.

The frigates began blasting the larger enemy ships with HALs, stolen from the FKBP.

Hyperion

The Jovian Antipiracy Expeditionary Force was gathering around the small, mined out moon, refuelling and rearming. It was composed of a single Dreadnaught, the Thermopylae, a massive ship stretching for more than a kilometre. It was jet black, and bristling with weaponry.

It also housed two Cruisers, the Thermopylae's escorts, aptly named the Apollo and the Athena.

A single carrier also accompanied the fleet, the newly-built Hive. It was escorted by two Corvettes, the Uncle Sam's Retirement Plan and the Hun.

The fleet's largest component was the renowned 'Tribal-II' Class Destroyers, the Pocket Cruisers. There were ten, Athabaskan, Haida, Algonquin, Iroquois, Cree, Inuit, Maori, Savage, Huron and the Cossack.

The carrier housed six squadrons of Fighters, three of interceptors, and a single squadron of bombers.

They departed port, beginning the voyage to Eris.

Kuiper
About half the shuttles were destroyed, and half escaped.

Ceres
The 54'40 and the Tyre, unlike the two Frigates and the crippled Ohi, were fresh and relatively undamaged. The great, ugly grey block of the Tyre absorbed the fire in it's thick armour, and those shots that managed to penetrate came through empty cargo holds. It's retrofitted missile lauchers and autocannons focussed on the points Torpedoes had already pierced the Pirate ship's armour. The 54'40's lighter weaponry zeroed in on the weapons strongpoints of the vessel, destroying some and playing havoc with the targeting of them all.

A multitude of explosions rocked the ship. Pieces of black metal zoomed out into space.

Hadrian-Two emerged from the quadrant of space that already held the scattered remains of a dozen skiffs, zooming towards the Frigate. The fighter skimmed over the top surface of the ship, mere metres away from the pitted black hull. The guns that managed to spot it couldn't track their weapons fast enough before Hadrian-Two was gone in a dark grey blur. The ship pulled up suddenly, coming level with the bridge. For a fraction of a split second, the frigate's viewport came into view. Dozens of pirates suddenly looked up with terrified faces.

Inside of the fighter's cockpit, Hadrian-Two smiled and squeezed the trigger. Dual jets of golden torpedoes spouted from the fighter, which jerked upward, sparks flying as it grazed the hull.

The two missiles smashed through the view-pane at supersonic speeds (if there were such thing as a speed of sound in the vacuum of space) and exploded simultaneously, blowing the bridge to pieces.

The frigate, having lost all power, began to drift through space. Some shuttles were launched.

[Eltee]

The watchful retrofitted freighter Tyre ensnared a series of six fleeing shuttles in Tractor Beams intended for loading cargo. It pulled them in, and trapped them in it's hull.

The last remaining frigate was subjected to the simultaneous fire of two corvettes, an armed freighter, and a wing of starfighters. Crimson lasers, yellow streaks of artillery, the crackle of autocannons and the blue an gold streaks of misiles and torpedoes began striing the ship all over it's frame.

The armour rippled. The gun-metal paint flaked off. Smoke and fire billowed from the chasis. The frigate sent out a signal of surrender.

The frigate complied. Shuttles flew the pirates over to the freighter. Some were filled with prisoners who had been captured.

Ceres
The tractor beams of the Tyre began the lengthy ordeal of tugging the damaged frigate back to Jovian space.

Io
The damaged pirate vessel was brought to an Ionian shipyard, where work to retrofit it as a Confederation vessel began. The tentative name 'Trojan' was selected for the vessel.

The damaged Jovian ship Ohi was likewise interred for repair.

Ganymede
The Tyre landed at the large military prison on inhospitable Ganymede, depositing it's rather large load of prisoners.

Near Saturn Hadrian flight, part of the larger Hadrian Squadron of twelve starfigeters, rendezvoused with the carrier Hive as it made it's way toward Eris.

The Hive
The four battered, scarred, and victorious fighters, dark grey scorched black in places from shots from the enemy skiffs.
Hadrian Leader, a tall man of African American origin, jumped out of the cockpit. "One for the record books." He mused. "Four squadrons of skiffs and three frigates, taken down by a refitted sheep, two little gunboats and our little fighters!"

"Seven." Three said proudly. "I took down bloody seven of those skiffs!"

"I took own that second frigate single-handedly." Two, a young, rather pretty Callistan girl, bragged.

The convoy of Jovian ships appoached Pluto after a long, monotonous journey.

The space around Pluto was filled with ships of all descriptions.

"This is Admiral Hacket. State your business."

"This is the Jovian antipiracy expeditionary force." Came the reply from the Thermopylae, the flagship of the fleet. "Request permission to refuel."

There was a beeping noise. "You are clear to dock with Space Station Alpha."

[Eltee]

The massive fleet began, in turn, docking at the station, refuelling entirely. Before long, the fleet was back on it's way, through the depths of the Kuiper belt... And through prime pirate territory, toward the ultimate point of rallying with Kuiper forces, the large Trans-Neptunian Object Eris, largest of the dwarves of the solar system.

The last Federation Dreadnought, the Somme, was there, along with some frigates, a corvette and a cruiser named the Pride of Eris. The Somme was a long, wide ship with a thick black hull. 28 broadside cannons lined the ship on each side and dozens of smaller, more precise weapons, arranged in clusters of three, dotted the top of the ship. It had a huge hangar bay, containing many fighters and bombers. Seven giant engines kept the ship going. On top of the bump that housed the bridge, a spinning machine generated a shield around the ship.

"This is Admiral Smith, pleased to meet you. Please dock with Space Port Gamma, I will brief you there." Came a broad voice.

SPG was a huge grey construct. In the middle was a large sphere, where four hangars were arranged. Two long "poles" protuded from them, finger-like buildings were attached to them. Theey were ship yards. Numerous, smaller hangars dotted thee "poles". Over one thousand ships, most of them being civillian, soared around the Space Port and its sister Theta.
