It still blows my mind that you cant break out the bow on horseback. Since day 1 ...
Like Todd Howard said, making horses too important would cause people to start paying more attention to the flaws of horses, when they were trying to focus on dragons.

Next TES is going to be about the return of horses! :P

Eh, I speculate the DLC will be packed with content that will entertain us for a loooong time.
And by that I mean it will have an unique looking world and have the endless quest system.

Gimme a lance and let me fight a dragon on dragon back then!

On another note, anyone notice when on the map, you can move over a very large chunk of land SW of Markarth (Even though its clouded)? Possible location for the dlc? Also, some of the loading screens talk about Vvardenfel and Morrowind. I dont think they talk about the other provinces so my money is on morrowind for new location

I'm pretty sure there are references to the other provinces in the loading screens. I think Blackmarsh and Elsweyr at least.

FWIW after
Spoiler:
Ulfric's speech at the end of the Stormcloaks quest line
I would be very surprised if there wasn't a major Thalmor-related expansion pack.

(On a related note, I really hope there is a an option to purchase physical discs of any expansions packs (and to be able to install them from the disc) rather than having to download it through Steam. I bought Skyrim as a DVD and it took me half a day to work out how to install it from the actual disc rather than blow my entire month's download limit.)

Parts of Hammerfall have actually been modeled in a very basic and limited form beyond the limits of Skyrim in the game engine, though. It's not accessible on the console but you can access it by turning clipping off on the pc. Whether they did that for scaling purposes or because they intend to flesh it out for DLC is currently unknown. It may have even been for the benefit of modders.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

Todd Howard seems to imply that he wants to expand on the content they've already got with the dlc.

From that thought and his Sizzle Reel slideshow, it'd be a shaky but confident guess that they'll be adding features in
which should have been prevalent in the original game. These features would no doubt also be related to
lore content which is either lacking or near non-existent. Like for instance skyrim's werebears or the volkihar tribe.

They could also be of favoured request, like some weapons of Morrowind (spears, crossbows) or mounted combat/dragon mounts.

Although there has been an Elder Scrolls Game (Redguard) and Daggerfall set in Hammerfell, I would really like to see how Bethesda handles Desert enviroments. If the DLC includes these other provinces...

As much as I want the spears, dragon mounts, and werebears the Lycanthrope perk tree is still the best idea I saw in the video. It makes me squeel like a little girl!!!!!!!!!!

He also said he wanted smaller DLC's to be released between the expansions as the are "few and far between". So as to help with the wait, there will be smaller DLC's.

I thought the whole point of having expansions was to not nickel and dime us with small DLC...

Well I'd rather Bethesda put some of the small things to fill the time, better to maintain interest or add things they might not be able to put in an expansion, is it not? Godd Howard did state the small 'fill in' DLCs would most likely be free if that comforts you...

I'm hoping for a DLC involving a major questline against or with the Forsworn and Markarth or a DLC allowing you to play moments or events from Skyrim's past maybe even play during the time when dragons ruled over Skyrim.

As long as dragon mounts are introduced, i'll be a happy man.
Buuut a quest that takes us through the largest nordic burrow would be awesome, or maybe the tomb of talos (if he has one) and fight his ultimate draugr.

Dragon mounts are something that will never happen in Skyrim, unfortunately. Bethy designed the game around the idea that you can't fly, and it's not something you can just patch.

Exactly. In Skyrim, your not meant to fly over stuff- sure, dragon mounts would work, but they wouldn't WORK. Bethesda will probably ruin our hopes and dreams by either having an NPC ride a dragon, have a short segment of dragon riding in an enclosed area, or a dragon mount that waddles along the ground and can't fly.

I have very low expectations.

No, I'm just being realistic. Besides, riding a dragon wouldn't be that great.

Killjoy.

Why are cities in separate "rooms" and not part of the outside world? Memory limitations, especially on the consoles.
And you must have noticed there are quite some open world locations you are not supposed to be getting to until you cleared a dungeon or got a certain quest.... Various dungeon balconies, the Thalmor Embassy, The World-Eater's Eyrie, Throat of the World....

Everything is possible with PC mods, but do you think Beth will put so much work into reversing such a core assumption and make it work on consoles?

It's not consoles, it's the simple fact that no matter how powerful your rig, you truly can't make an entire world the size of Skyrim without some load times.

Can we stop with the insults? You will not ride dragons. They may introduce other flying mounts but not dragons. Hopefully you get to import some griffons from valenwood.
