Boots of blinding speed= useless, unless you can counter the blind with something else. and did you enchant those yourself?

I just enchanted some random disposable item with

[Resist Magika 100% on self for 5 seconds] (longest I could fit). Activate item, put on boots, blindness resisted, fortify passes through, Bingo-Bango. As long as I dont take them off, its A-Okay.

Also, I could have pushed it even higher...I could have worn a robe with prolly another 50 pts, AND if I was a vampire...well...ya know.

The only downside is that the whole thing is pretty much a novelty, since all the items only last like 24 seconds... Enough to go from Dagon Fel to Vivec, but not to actually DO anything.

Heh, I'm around 350 as a regular thing now.

speed jumping

Post by Guest »

use all that stuff and get scrolls of super jumping by a wood elf that falls through the sky by seeda neen, on the left path anway from slit strider.
it gives you +1000 jump.

run with that stuff and use this to jump, you go like from one side of the map to dagoth's place or father depending on speed stats

I've experimented extensively with the scrolls. I've found one of the most enjoyable uses jumping directly to Solstheim from khuul. Another thing I tried was to see how far out to sea I could go. Jumped as far out as possible, water-walked, then jumped again. Couldnt see any land on the large map by the time I was done. Nothing interesting out there though. Just blank flat ground and about 40 ft of water. DULL.

I thought it was common knowledge that if you want to use BoBs you combine it with Savior's Hide, which has 60% MAgic Resistance, will help you see, and then making another item CE Resist Magic 20-40% and you can see again, and the resist is usefull everywhere in the game.

I'm playing Oblivion now, it's been a long time since I played Morrowind, but I'm sure there are some other nice rare items with magic resist, Goldbrand maybe ?

I'm tellin ya! Just get something enchanted with magic resist 100% for like 2 seconds, and put on the boots while the 2 second enchantment is active. Its not a particularly expensive enchantment, and doesnt require great gear/gems.

As long as you dont take the boots off then put them on again without the enchantment, you'll be able to see fine with them on.

You think that's something? I spent a bunch of time getting moon sugar/kagouti hides/wolf pelts and made a buttload of fortify speed potions. I imbibed all of them immediately and ran around Morrowind a couple times with my newfound 9000-something speed. I could jump from the east end of Balmora and land in the ocean. If only it weren't for those accursed "loading area" screens...

Does this work?

I'll have to try it. I was trying to make a constant effect resist magicka but I couldn't find an item with enough capacity.
