Re: In My Time Of Need.
I believe Saadia did sell her city out to the Thalmor. If the Alik'r warriors were merely simple assassins and mercenaries, they would hardly have any interest in keeping her alive for transportation back to Hammerfell. They want her to face due justice. She sold her people out.
Who I support depends on what character I am playing. My Thalmor agents of course helps her, because we look after our friends. But my loyalist Imperial or bellicose Nord Stormcloak turns her over to just her just deserts.

Look at Dervenin in SI. Look at him in Skyrim. Say no to drugs.

I know exactly what you mean, she has a sort of snide tone in her voice and gives a rather half-felt thanks like it was convenient for her that you got the job done and came back alive... Kematu has a rather genuine feel to his thanks.DeeJay wrote:Funny story on this:

Someone was saying that she escapes and has a random encounter in Skyrim... is this true?

Re: In My Time Of Need.
I don't think so, it's not recorded in any official documentation nor on the Wiki and a quick search of the web rendered nothing much. Still, it could be possible.
On another note, all this vigilante justice, it just kills me to see.

Re: In My Time Of Need.
I think Kematu is definetly telling the truth , for the following reasons :
1- Saadias story makes no sense , thalmor are allowed to take whoever they want into custody whenever they want and they have the justiciars in skyrim , they would get her themselves , not using mercs , especially not redguards (since they are all racist turds against all men races)
2- Kematu say something similar to '' damn it , you've killed her , now all my work is for nothing'' when you kill her after he casts a paralyze spell outside of whiterun , i think if he were an assassin like she described he would have just left and took the credit for her murder
well thats what i think ... dont be fooled by a pretty face , folks , your all better than that ( well ..from what ive read ... most of you are?

I was going to sacrifice her to Sithis once I was done with the quest anyway, so the decision to turn that stinking elf-collaborator in was an easy one.

Re: In My Time Of Need.
philfredobob, I don't think that there is strong enough evidence to be sure either way, and certainly not enough to make a judgement, especially by modern standards of judiciary.
On your two points, the fact we do not know what Kematu's motivation actually is means that it is plausible that the only reason he does not wish to kill Saadia is so he can drag her off to his employers in Hammerfell and earn additional payment, allowing them to have their way with her and bring down their own version of 'justice' upon her. He's not being paid to kill her, it would seem he is being paid to bring her into custody, for whatever reason - that we cannot be sure of.

My character's birthplace is in Taneth. My character's father was killed in the defence of Taneth. (Yes, I am one of those people who like to make complex and detailed backstories.) So when I found out that Saadia had sold Taneth out to the Aldmeri Dominion I was furious!
Do you mind? I'm doing the fishstick. It's a very delicate state of mind.

Ah man I suck at these choices, well on this one it sounded more like kematu was telling the truth, there just isn't enough evidence either way but the way the chick rather have you kill them all instead of directing them away throes up a red flag to me.

Re: In My Time Of Need.
I killed kematu. Dropped him like a bad habit with a poison arrow and got the hell out of dodge so I didn't have to fight his buddies. Maybe I will go back and clean them up.....hmmm. She will die in her sleep one night I will see to that. As far as making the decision who to believe I really didn't pay much attention. I figured sneaking into a cave and whacking the boss in front of his buddies seemed more fun and challenging.
What you can't see can kill you.

Re: In My Time Of Need.
You do realise that this accusation can never be verified, and she may very well not have done that, right? But then I guess, that sort of logic might not apply to your character, in character, considering personal bias' effect in their jumping to that conclusion.ajrman wrote:My character's birthplace is in Taneth. Re: In My Time Of Need.
I can't tell which of them is truthful. Usually side with Kematu unless I haven't yet acquired a curved sword. But as you can get one at the Dainty Sload, Saadia is generally out of luck.

Re: In My Time Of Need.
Frankly, I think both of them are telling completely bogus tales. Saadia was probably on the losing side of some internal politics of Hammerfell, and had to flee. The Alik'r are looking for her to make a public example of their enemies. The Dominion was probably not involved at all - both sides talk about the Dominion purely selfishly, to attempt to arouse your sympathy for their position. They know the Dominion is unpopular in Skyrim, how better to get support. If either side were *ACTUALLY* aligned with the Dominion, they could go to the Thalmor for help. That they didn't shows, in my mind, that both sides deserve what they get - my arrows in their knees. Skyrim needs more guards anyway.
